Now just remember, there are many forum members who religiously believe GnR is sitting on a full & complete album ready to go!

They have been sitting on enough completed songs for many years now. Monsters, The General, Hard Skool, Absurd, Perhaps, Atlas Shrugged and more.

It seems Axl's idea of completed is very different to most.

Yes. He can tinker and second guess for ages. Still, I don't think the reason they haven't been released was that he didn't feel they were complete as much as people leaving and feeling he had to replace musicians.

And it's a banger live.

BTW, I'm still not convinced that Fortus laid down solos for this one. It all sounds pretty similar tone and style-wise.

I don’t hear Fortus at all in the studio version when it comes to lead guitar. On live shows instead Fortus does a nice job

What other unreleased songs do we know are complete & release ready?

Yeah. I mean, there are maybe a couple seconds of lead while Axl sings some lines, but other than that, I doubt that any of those mini-solos are not Slash.

Why would we know everything that is complete/ready? We didn't even know that Monsters wasn't The General. But to prove a point: do you believe that Monsters wasn't "ready for release"?

Pretty sure it’s Slash on the studio record for the leads. Fortus might have done some background stuff

It's not a working relationship, it's shit.

Well they tour and seem to get on, that in itself is a working relationship. We want it to be a working relationship that bears more fruit than tours and 20yr old re-records, but tbf we have followed them long enough not to have any expectations that we expect to be met.

Agreed. And if it is Fortus he was doing a great Slash impersonation

It’s purely a business relationship and one that is very lucrative.

Sadly, for the longstanding fans, this means that creative output is practically nil.

To be fair we already got 4 and know there are at least two more to go, you could consider oh my god and make them seven, it’s not far from an album.

what we got post the release of Chinese is very far from a full and consistent album where you get the same production, mix, and musicians who actually were responsible for coming up with the tunes if you compare it to how all Gn'R albums sound like imo.

I like the singles, and I accept that Axl does what he wants, but I prefer the full experience of listening to a full cohesive album.

we don't know for sure, but my guess is Axl has a shitload of cool instrumentals and probably some finished material, coming up with lyrics and melodies seems to be difficult for him or there is an issue with it maybe.

Yeah, "could". Wishful thinking.

Still not the point. Monsters only proofs that there are finished songs we don’t know of. Songs that weren’t included in the locker leaks.

We knew Monsters existed, we just assumed it was The General. The (real) General proves your point though.

None for sure.

But you just said "and more" when referring to complete songs they're sitting on .. So tell me .. What songs are they sitting on that we don't know about?

We wouldn't. Soul Monster claims there's songs that are complete that are being sat on. I want to know what songs they are. He seems to know.

I dont know exactly which ones, although Quick Song, PRL, State of Grace are not unlikely. But I am very confident there are a few additional songs finished and still unreleased.

Ah I see, nevermind then.

Maybe Monsters wasn't released because somebody still wasn't sure it was ready to be released last minute.
