That's about as likely as Beatles doing it.

it's like the last 30 years never happened for some posters. how can you still expect Axl to quickly write, record and release an album of 10 songs given everything we know about Axl and how little got released is beyond me.

Slash, Duff, and maybe even Jesus himself won't speed things up in Gn'R land.

New album seems more likely than a new star wars film at this point. That's positive thinking right there

Isn’t a new Star Wars film coming soon?

It's been "Soon is the word" too for years now.

I agree. I can’t imagine Hard Skool or Absurd on an album either, especially the former. Unless the whole album is mixed and mastered like shit, half or more of the singles wouldn’t fit at all. Perhaps was the best, by far IMO from a mixing and mastering perspective. The main issue being the jarring transition from Robin’s 2 second solo to Slash’s solo, the latter of which doesn’t fit the song due to the tone, but what do I know about that. 😆

Something I think about is could we get different versions of released singles on an eventual album? Say we get an album of a dozen or more songs, maybe they have a good mix of Hardschool and Soul Monster from the CD era with Bucket and Robin snuck in there. 😉

The 2 seconds of Robin on Perhaps has to be a joke aimed at the fans, surely? All the people they hope Robin is still on a song somewhere got what they wanted!

We'll see. Many films were supposed to be out by now so just making a light jovial comparison of delays, plans changing, etc.

I don't think they would do something like that just to tease the fans, but who knows!

Haha, yah. Disney has been hit or miss since they took over the franchise. I actually liked Solo and am looking forward to the spinoff Lando series or movie that’s in development.

so, about that new album …

I wonder if Disney* would be interested in taking over the GNR franchise?

They could make a prequel album to AFD and do spin offs featuring Frank and Melissa.

*Insert Mickey Mouse joke as required.

It’s not about expectations, it’s about being fed up with that bullshit. And there are still some people who try to blandish everything this band does(n‘t do) lmfao

it's a very simple fact. Axl is not someone else. he is the opposite of prolific for whatever reason, his fault or not, I don't really care. all I know is that we had decades to get used to it and to accept that this is the way it is cause there is really nothing we can do about it. I guess whining about it some more will always be an enticing option for some.

Yeah, so keep whining about people whining…

Axl is not dead. He’s alive and still active in a band called GNR. Nobody expects new music from scratch because we all know that’s an unrealistic scenario. But as a fan of this band you should be allowed to express your dissatisfaction with how this band operates, especially when someone thought this reunion would led to new music and even more so when the three main characters openly talk about writing and creating new music.

my point is that we had time to accept shit and since the reunion we had time to kinda get a better sense of what we're probably going to get which is waiting a long time between releases should they happen. really driven the point home that Axl is not going to speed up things just cause Slash and Duff are back.

how long does a whiner needs to whine until he or she accepts reality? I only replied cause a poster presented the question of why can't they just write, record, and release a quick 10 songs album. at this point in time it just seems far too late to ask that,

I really can't think of any other reason the start of Robin's solo is still in the mix

That was a horrible episode.

Season 3 was a miss. The last Disney SW project I thought was genuinely good was Andor. And even that was in a sea of blah

Yeah, in other words: This band is full of shit. Why can’t they operate like a normal band? It’s a legit question and as long as they keep touring without releasing music,  this question will be appropriate, no matter if some fans doesn’t like this question (or any negative question regarding this band)

but we already know the answer to why can't they, at least in general. some just refuse to accept it. you know... Axl kinda answered it with his actions in the last 30 or so years already.

It was simply a hypothetical question. We know they won’t.
