Exactly bud, so please, for the hundredth time, get it already that you are the perpetual whiner here. This is a forum where people congregate and talk about their favourite ones, good or bad, praise or smack. Please look up the word irony at last, to finally understand what you and a few others do here, and above all, accept that some people will comment on the band also negatively, which is part of fandom that you perceive as whining (while ignoring that the same people are also positive sometimes). It will always be here. This is not HTGTH, although I’d bet you’d love it over there. Therefore, accept it already and stop whining yourself. Set an example! 
Day after day, the same moronic sentences, the same "I don’t understand why some people..." Yeah, we get it, you don’t understand how long it will take some... blah blah, we got that the first fiftieth time you told us. 
It’s time for you now for a change to just fucking accept the reality and move on, instead of policing the place like someone pays you for it. 

Or just put those people on ignore. I could do the same with you, but unlike you, I don’t go around following other posters and telling them what they should or shouldn’t do or say (with this being the exception ofc). I don’t harass others for example because they seemingly unreasonably liked this or that even though it sucked in my opinion. It’s their business, and if I don’t like it, I can just skip their posts. It's a brilliant question! Is someone here arguing that we shouldn't speculate on the reasons for the poor productivity? I think the discussion was more on why some fans still seem to have unrealistic expectations and whine like little children.

to be specific we know the answer to the question who is the source for this band being unprolific. we don't know the exact reasons for the poor productivity, just speculation and I would definitely like to know for sure what it is and with detail.

maybe Axl will write and release an autobipgraphy after Gn'R is done.

I feel like every Star Wars TV show has at least a few hours (or a movie's worth) of great Star Wars content. My favorite so far is Obi-Wan Kenobi, but even that had some obvious shortcomings. I liked Ahsoka too, but again, some shortcomings. The last few episodes of most of the series seem really good, at least with those two.

maybe next time read the thread more carefully before you reply, just a suggestion. if it wasn't for a post expecting Axl to make an album quickly and release it, I wouldn't have entered this discussion.

when you don't fully accept the situation, you whine about it, set high expectations, or post bitter posts. all of this is just coping with not getting what you want from a rock band so if someone cries about it again, after all this time, I reserve the right to point that out cause that's annoying to me and it limits the discussion imho.

Kinda crazy, from the time of releasing Chinese Democracy to now.... 4 years after Chinese came out, King GIzzard + The Lizard Wizzard formed as a band, and have released 26 studio albums in between then and now

Whereas GNR are stuck on adding overdubs to songs that have vocal parts that were recorded in the 90s JFC even just typing this out is making me rethink why I follow GNR so intently, its insane lol

Yup. And Buckethead has probably released literally hundreds of albums since then!

 

Admittedly, those are outliers. But most other functioning bands will have released at least a few records since then. 

For example, the now notoriously not-very-prolific Metallica have put out two all new studio albums, and a few live albums since Chinese Democracy was released. 

Even the Stones have managed a new album and a covers album in that time!

He already did, he was talking about it in 1994, doing it with Del James.  It doesn't take 30 years to write an autobiography.

And by the way, there have been 8 Star Wars movies since Spaghetti Incident came out, not counting tv shows, cartoons or whatever.  Watching the One True Trilogy takes about as much time as listening to the complete Guns'n'Roses catalogue.

I think Axl said it was more accounts of what happened, not really an autobiograpy iirc. 

what is the point that you're trying to make with the 8 Star Wars movies since Spaghetti? that Axl is not prolific and the Gn'R catalog is small? I agree, but it's not exactly new information is it?

all of these are apples to oranges comparisons cause Axl has his own unique issues with releasing music it seems and it's been so long since he worked faster that I don't believe he is ever going to change when it comes to how slowly shit gets released.

took him a while to even record one cover and I think that's also an indication that nothing has changed.

Maybe they will surprise us with a completely new tune and the reason why they were "releasing"(leaking) Monsters were due to scrap the rest of old material and focus on new material.
