 start listening to Green Day

Life can be shitty sometimes, but hey man please don't do that to yourself. Just keep going, you got this! You are not alone. We're all in this together.

Let’s knock the personal bullshit off and stay on topic guys.

I think bickering senselessly and slinging puerile insults is pretty fitting for a platform about GNR. Appreciate you’re just moderating but you deleted my comment that called him ‘Stay.Of.Excretion’ and I was pretty proud of that one, so can this one stay? I’ll stop now 😇 honest.

Well, unless he starts on me again… I’m not just gonna take insults like Karice, if he wants to be silly, I will be silly. He has no idea how silly it can get.

100% especially the first paragraph lol. He's a keyboard bully, the kind of guy who would not dare behave in real life the way he does on here because he'd get the shit kicked out of him.

God isn't that kind, though that pathetic woke twat is petty enough to rile people up then report their retaliation to get them banned. Absolute narcissist that goes against everything GNR stood for.

I think Powerage is a good guy and it is fair enough to tell us to cool it and get back on topic, as entertaining to some as a petty squabble may be lol. Don't worry about that poster his days are probably numbered imo.

Think it's muted anyway based on the constant laughing reactions and nothing else, good riddance.

I could imagine they will play some tunes with Angus that Night. Would be a cool little suprise 😊 if they play a Song with Elton that would be amazing.

Why Angus though?

Elton seems more likely and would be epic. Though I hope he won't ruin his career with a guest spot :(

I think Coachella was sort of a promotion since Axl/DC was announced on the same weekend.

It has become a bit of a thing in recent year for headliners to do something different to what they normally, or have a special guest.

I can't really see GNR deviating at all from their usual routine, as they seem incapable of 'variety' these days, but a guest is highly possible. Carrie Underwood again would be the sort of level I'd imagine. Something nice and underwhelming!

Who are these people complaining about "white" and "male"? A small, vocal minority or is it the type of people who go there?

its ALWAYS a small amount of people, but the media gives them 100% of the attention.  So it seems like a bigger deal than it really is

Yeah, Lana Del Rey appearing on stage with GnR would totally devastate her career, it's not like her 2nd album from 2012 has a song called "Guns and Roses" on it or anything ....

Wish I had a good enough memory to call out all the idiots who went after me for saying glastonbury was a massive deal and that it would get huge media coverage everywhere and be negative if GnR headlined. Then that is exactly what happened. It is so hard being right all the time. GnR aint even headlined yet and its already been the number 1 trend on twitter in the UK and making news outlets all over the word  Some bloke in America without a passport and rural europe obviously thought they knew more. You dont. I'm fucking king. Hope you cunts read this and comment so i can remember who you were.

Billy Joel too?

Gun N’ Roses [sic] is everything Glastonbury should not represent

Lizzo and Lana Del Rey are stone-cold superstars – why aren’t they headlining the festival?

[...]

But what a bad look it is to have two of the three headline slots go to thumpingly conventional guitar bands. In the case of Gun N’ Roses, in particular, it’s worth asking whether they would be better suited to the Sunday nostalgia slot. They haven’t released fresh material in decades. And their set – going by their European dates last summer – is essentially one more twirl around the retro maypole.

Gun N’ Roses in 2023 are, in fact, an example of everything Glastonbury shouldn’t represent. When I saw their concert in Dublin last year, I was swept up in head-banging nostalgia. Still, the band – along with everyone in attendance – had two feet in the past. Yawns broke out during the “new” songs from Chinese Democracy (released in November 2008). We only really came alive when the band dipped into Appetite for Destruction, a record that predates the invention of the World Wide Web and the fall of the Iron Curtain.

Nostalgia has its place. Appetite for Destruction is neck-and-neck with Nirvana’s Nevermind for the title of greatest rock album of the past 40 years. Still would the world have ended if Lizzo – whom Glastonbury describes as having “joint headline billing” – had gone on after them on Saturday night?
