If you like fish and chips don’t move to the south. These soft cunts wouldn’t know a decent cod and chips if it nicked their shandy and kicked them in the bollocks! 😂

The further south you go the better the fish n chips.

Cod or Skate for the fish

The UK is great for history buffs and we have a lot of beautiful areas in the countryside, London has the sightseeing stuff but it's very crowded. If you're an American the food portions will seem small

I feel like London is the only place in the UK worth travelling a long way for and that’s only because there’s so much to see and do there that it takes more than a couple of days to do everything you would want to. Everywhere else here, like York for example, is so small in comparison and can be seen in a day/few hours ….  and they’re usually really nice little spots surrounded by massive shit holes 😂

I want to go to the museums and Stonehenge.

How much currently for 1kg of NZ lamb and 3L Anchor milk?

Stonehenge is over-rated

NZ Lamb is around £20 a kilo

Some brands of milk are being boycotted by the general public because they're adding chemicals to the cows' food to stop them farting

Looks like a charming place.

Whitby's amazing. My favourite little seaside town.

Great fish and chips, gorgeous scenery and great pubs. Was also Bram Stoker's inspiration for Dracula,

Dracula and Whitby - Your vampire guide from Visit Whitby

Best of all it's about half an hour from where I was born.

Fr? Is that a real photo? Looks very Dracula-esque.

Yes, it’s a real place. Probably the best place on the North Yorkshire coast to visit in terms of prettiness and things to see/do.

What a coincidence that it happens to be the same place you're from :P (also, Haddock all the way).

I thought it might be at least exaggerated in photoshop. That's crazy. Can definitely see how it influenced Bram Stoker.

I tend to associate Dracula etc with Transylvannia even though irl it's from UK.

In the book, Whitby is where Dracula arrives in England, on a ship called the Demeter that runs aground with all the crew missing, having been picked off one by one.

Ummm.... Scotland would like to have a word :D I would advise anyone considering a visit to the UK to head straight to Scotland.

The only shite thing about Scotland is that the chippies rarely offer scraps. Half the time I just get a confused look and have to explain that "yes, I want all that fried shit that's fallen off in the fryer that you'd usually throw in the bin"

I wasn't aware until I was an adult that in England, you generally only get one fillet of fish when you order fish and chips. In Scotland, you get two, and we call it a fish supper (likewise with any other variant, a sausage supper, a black pudding supper, a haggis supper, a steak pie supper, a pizza crunch supper, etc.). You have to ask specifically if you only want one (you ask for a single fish).

That is something I didn't know, how much would a cod supper cost?
