That's what I've been thinking from the first time we got to see the documents. Coming from a family of lawyers, I know how every word matters, and in my view, Axl could've played them with this detail. He doesn't have to repsond to anything cause this case is not about him but about his father. Technically, he could ignore it all. 

Especially when you see how pedantic they are when it comes to their "Gate-or-Door"-Gate...

I don't think the legal name matters in the U.S. civil law, as long as the person.defendant can be identified. Axl has been sued before as "William Bailey" and "William Bruce Rose". Moreover, in this case"William Bruce Rose" is the a/k/a for Axl Rose.

The hearing for Axl's motion to dismiss has been set for October 22, so after the status conference that will take place on September 24 (according to the schedule suggested by Axl and accepted by the judge, the discovery phase with the depositions etc. should have been completed by then).

So this most likely means that the case is proceeding according to the schedule regardless of Axl's motion, but there won't be any public updates until September (because the depositions/testimonies are not among the documents that are made available for the public).

The hearing for Axl's motion that was going to take place on October 22 has been postponed because Sheila Kennedy's attorney will be abroad on that date.

Meanwhile, there has been no updates about the compliance conference (the purpose of which is to determine whether the discovery phase of the case has been going according to schedule) that was supposed to take place on Sept. 24. If everything has gone according to schedule, on October 21st the parties are supposed to file a joint "note of issue" (a document affirming that all discovery that includes sworn depositions from Axl, Sheila Kennedy and third party witnesses, as well as production of related documents, has been completed and the case is "trial ready").

I was thinking about bumping up this thread because I remembered reading that the Lawsuit was going to move forward in October. And it is now October 16th and I hadn't seen any updates, off for a lawsuit that was supposed to move forward in October of this year. 😵‍💫 Thank you for the update! 💡

Well, the schedule has not been followed and no discovery has been conducted because of Axl's motion, so the compliance conference that was going to take place on Sept. 24 was postponed.

So basically the case has frozen until Axl's motion is discussed and the judge rules on it (no new date has been set yet for the hearing on Axl's motion).

Regardless, Axl has been accused of sexual assault in the past. If it's proven, it's sickening acts towards women..
