I hope she got everything she wanted in a settlement. Axl did terrible things to women when he was a young man so I've always believed her. We can only hope that he has grown and changed his behavior.

I noticed before your post that you only have a couple of posts and surmised that you must be new. 💡🤔😇 I think an Admin can let you change your Username, but I'm not sure. On a certain Website, you must stay with the Username you choose at signup permanently. We are warned of this at signup. A Poster chose his REAL NAME as a Username and soon thought,"What an AWFUL idea using my REAL NAME as a Username REALLY is! ☢️😵‍💫He begged the Admins to let him change his Username and they responded that Usernames are PERMANENT. Here  might be different and might allow username changes, just ask the Admins for username changes. 😇

Hmm. Is it possible that Sheila got pressured into admitting that this was cash grab and she just wanted easy money? I wonder if Axl put out a countersuit defamation lawsuit (He did say he wanted to ask HER to pay HIM damages, 🤣🤭) And /or maybe Axl had VERY agggressive Lawyers that intimidated her into telling the real truth she freaked out and admitted she just wanted money? 🤔💡

Definitely. Hard to plan touring if there might be a requirement to be in court over the next year. Easier to settle without admitting guilt and be done with it.

It would be interesting to know the exact terms of their settlement agreement. Sheila was pretty adamant in her earlier comments that she would not be silenced, which led me to think she might reject any settlement offer that required her to sign an NDA.

From an outsider's point of view, it's a bit of a shame that the case will not be resolved in a trial, but hopefully it's for the best for those involved. Winning a settlement is not a bad outcome considering that few rape victims ever receive any justice at all.

I live in Atlanta and know she lives here as well. In 2011, she posted a picture of herself at the 2011 Guns n' Roses show in Atlanta and, if I remember correctly, stated she thought the band sounded great.

Yes, she attended the Atlanta show in 2011. I didn't remember that she posted about it herself, but some fans in the audience spotted her and even talked to her. She was among the general audience and quite far from the stage, so it doesn't necessarily mean that she had any contact with Axl or that he even knew she was present.

I think you're right (it has been a long time). I remember now that a fan posted it online and it spread. I think the fan commented that she said she really enjoyed the show and that the band sounded incredible. I agree she probably did not go backstage or meet Axl, although it does seem they are on friendlier terms these days. For the record, that might still might be my favorite Guns N' Roses show. It was the first time GN'R played Atlanta since 1987 (when Axl got arrested) and he was in it to win it that night. Sounded great and talked at length between each song.

Axl was physically and emotionally abusive to a lot of women. He was an absolute monster of a person in his early life. This isn't even the first time he's been accused of rape, if you weren't aware. It's not unthinkable that he could rape this woman when he was extremely abusive to many other women and also likely raped Michelle.

With the Michelle thing, it was ACTUALLY Statutory rape(If I am 15 and WILLINGLY go have sex with a 24 year old Rockstar, that's Statutory rape, not forced rape). There is a BIG difference between Statutory rape and forced rape.  💡

I REALLY hate to say this, but Michelle  and Sheila BOTH said that Axl did awful things to them and then CRIED after doing the awful things to them.  Looking for a worried emoji. ☢️ I guess this one will have to do.

The settlement agreement is confidential, so we'll never know the details. My guess is Axl has paid a small to moderate amount of money (taking into account that Sheila Kennedy didn't seem to have a very strong case from a legal standpoint) in exchange for an NDA (=no further comments about the allegations or the lawsuit from Kennedy, her lawyers etc.) and no admission of guilt on his part.
