ZoSoRose
It would have been a super cool thing to witness, but I agree that it makes for an underwhelming recording and video. @Tom-Ass covered it, but they definitely played the songs like they would on electric instruments with drums, and that does not always have the best results. You need to rearrange songs sometimes and mess with the way you strum, sing, play, tempos, etc. for an unplugged set. Sometimes it works running things through like normal, and sometimes it doesn't. Aside from Axl's atrocious voice during the 2012 Bridge School shows, I was also disappointed that they did not rearrange those songs to better fit an unplugged set. The underwhelming vocals and bad mix with the piano being picked up and the tiny sounding guitars don't help, either. It was just a little promotional set and was probably awesome for those in the crowd. I am not worried about the tour. 2 hours ago, Tom-Ass said: It looks like they split them.. God I hope someone with balls and a set of ears says something.. That dude shouldn't sing more than one or two songs. Especially because Tash sounded killer on the album. I didn't think Teddy would sing on the tour. I hope Tash handles it all
Gordon Comstock
5 hours ago, Tom-Ass said: Well that was no where as cool as i thought it would be. Teddy sang most of the songs and he brings nothing to the table as far as that is concerned. He looks like a fat slob which wouldn't matter if he didn't that sound like he belongs in a shitty bar band. He just sang the worst versions of The Pusher and Built for Comfort that I have ever heard. He was awful all around. The songs were played too fast. Crossroads especially.. It doesn't work that fast on Acoustic. I can't see this little promotion helping to sell any tickets unfortunately. They need the drummer and bassist in there to save them. Only had time to watch a few minutes so far, how many songs did Teddy sing? Hopefully if they're playing at least 90 minutes on this tour, he only gets 4-5 songs. The little I've heard from him isn't the worst, but yea he sounds like someone you'd hear in any random bar band... Tash on the other hand deserves a lot of time to shine, he's got a nice voice. I'm looking forward to seeing videos of the full band.

Living for the City is one of the best tracks on the record

Even Teddy does a great job. Listening to Hoochie Coochie he added very cool keys for example. Fantastic band. But of course it hurts your dynamics when you play without your rhythm section. I like Teddy, he is a part of GNR "legend" (maybe that is a strong word), but he was fun on the UYI tour and has been around forever. I just would prefer Tash on vocals for the tour

Really looking forward to hearing the full band do Living For The City, it's one of my top 3 songs on the album.

Wish Guns had done MTV Unplugged back in the day....like Bridge School but successful...Still Neil Pitman's finiest hour though 😁

Of course Understandable, this is its own thing. Plus, we know the current status with GnR, there's nothing more to reveal anyway.

Yes, yes, of course, of course. I'm a GN'R fan, I have nothing but understanding and patience. They don't owe us anything!
JimiRose
Just saw the album debuted at 98 in USA. Wow rock music well and truly dead in america. Slash should just stick to europe and south america. All rock bands should. America you suck as a fanbase.

ToonGuns
This is the first slash album in years that I haven't rushed to buy on the first day or streamed to death week 1. Just can't really get excited by it. Not sure why as love slash and love blues. To be honest it isn't really a "blues" album (Johnny Winter style etc) it's more blues rock / traditional rock n roll, which is fine. It just seems too polished, studio-safe, and I haven't heard any massive solos I'm in love with. Need to give it more listens possibly. He said "Blues Oriented" which it is. I definitely think you need to give it more listens though. I wouldn't say it is too polished at all. I mean the production is spot on and clear as day, but I would say it is pretty stripped down with a lot of improvised and live takes.

Blackstar
Slash did another acoustic show on SiriusXM's B.B. King's Bluesville https://www.instagram.com/p/C7nUMNgpB3N/ He was also interviewed on Joe Bonamassa's radio show on Bluesville, but I don't have access to this interview.
