Popular Post Gordon Comstock Posted April 5 Popular Post Posted April 5 (edited) In case there was any doubt: Original instagram post: https://www.instagram.com/p/C5VV5yTs8o3/ Seems like the first 'fresh' recording since the reunion is in fact a cover, is Axl/Slash/Duff and Zak (Ringo Starr's son), and may be released soon. edit: Zak mentioned they're planning to release the album next spring. GNRmello77 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Man that's a while ago, I do remember the name children of revolution but couldn't connect it with anything, interesting Quote

BluegrassBlues Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I'm excited! Any word on when it could be released if it is? Quote
2020_Intensions Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Ever since that rumor I've been so excited at the idea of this - Like "Live and Let Die" this is a song that GnR would knock out of the park covering 1 Quote

Popular Post BillConnor_1982 Posted April 5 Popular Post Posted April 5 It's not a true Guns N' Roses song without Frank Ferrer on the drums. Hard pass. 1 21 Quote
Guest Posted April 5 Posted April 5 So the rumour was true then. Still we don't have it untill we have it Quote
Popular Post jamillos Posted April 5 Popular Post Posted April 5 (edited) This is some cool news, but I don’t understand the timing. 2017? Well, then again, I guess anything involving Axl has to take at least 7 years to be released! Edited April 5 by jamillos 2 3 Quote
ZoSoRose Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Hol. E. Fuck. Can’t believe that rumor was real. Hope to hear the track soon 1 Quote
GNRRHCP98 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 This is actually f’n amazing… can’t wait for more details. Can’t believe this will be the first GNR recording with NEW Axl vocals 2 hours ago, Georgina Arriaga said: Duff, Slash, Axl, Ringo, Elton AND Children of the Revolution? Popular Post SoulMonster Posted April 5 Popular Post Posted April 5 The rumors really started in late 2018 when Mitch Lafon mentioned that the band might have recorded the cover and that it would be included on an upcoming T-Rex tribute project (Angelheaded Hipster - Another Look at Marc Bolan). The producer of this project (Hal Wilmer) quickly shot down the rumors, stating that the cover of Children of the Revolution to be featured in this project was recorded by Kesha, not GN'R. But interestingly, Wilmer also stated that there were rumors that GN'R with Axl had recorded the song, but for another project.... 5 Quote
Popular Post Dean Posted April 5 Popular Post Posted April 5 Potentially getting this along with the Michael Schenker song in the same year will be pretty sweet, very curious to hear Axl’s relatively current studio chops on a proper song. 6 Quote

Blackstar Posted April 5 Posted April 5 So it was true then. I guess I owe an apology to the "insiders" and their sources. I hope it sees the light of the day 2 Quote
Blackstar Posted April 5 Posted April 5 (edited) If I'm not mistaken, Axl (and Caram) mixed his vocals on Rock the Rock, too. It looks like Axl wants to mix his vocals on whatever he sings on himself (or have "his guy" do it). I wouldn't be surprised if the Michael Schenker/UFO (?) song he recorded vocals on is delayed for the same reason. Edited April 5 by Blackstar 2 Quote
Swedish Posted April 5 Posted April 5 This is really interesting news! Hopes it sees the light of day sooner rather than later! I'm a bit confused about the whole "auction off" part though, will it be a Wu-Tang situation where one person will own the record or how would that work? Does anyone know how stuff like this is usually done, in regards to auctioning of a record for charity? Quote
F*ck Fear Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I'll check it out if it's released but it's not exciting to me. 1 Quote

Does anyone know how stuff like this is usually done, in regards to auctioning of a record for charity? The Replacements done something similar with their 'Songs for Slim' release. They wanted to generate as much money as possible for Slim's hospital bills etc. The record ended up getting released via streaming platforms then did eventually get a physical release in a limited run also, so I'd imagine it may be something similar? So I guess it'll be a unique first pressing of the record they've got in the can. Time will hopefully tell, just hope that it's not another 7 years! 1 Quote
