Also comeback of There Was A Time in 2023, and Axl really hitted those high notes on 1st performance in Madrid. 2 Quote
Zeppelin Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Should’ve called it the My World Tour. It writes itself. Quote

I don’t know how other bands handle it but yeah, when GNR plays a song they haven’t played before live, even if it’s over 30 years old and loved by fans, then it’s a surprise. Same goes with new releases with this band. We are desperate, starved out. Everything new is a holy shit moment. Even if it’s shit. 4 Quote

Problem is though, that there isn't too much more they can do along those lines. A few songs maybe, but with such a tiny back catalogue, they're going to be struggling for these moments. 1 Quote

To be fair, in 2024 competence and success, especially financial, are hardly best buddies. I'm sure we can all look around us and see some VERY incompetent people rising through the ranks of the various fields we live and work in...... 1 1 Quote

Yeah, this is pretty much the norm for a lot of veteran bands. Fans that know how often certain songs have been played will always be amazed when a rare song is played live. Even if it’s not a really well-liked song, fans usually appreciate the rarity of such an appearance. It’s a neat thing. 2 Quote

Recently its been the fans expecting something new from a band who has rested on their laurels for almost 9 years now, but dying to give them money on this never ending tour I doubt that CEO was incompetent. Prob just evil and greedy. And evil. Also greedy. they’ve released several new songs, and scoured the entire catalog for new songs to play at the concerts. In no discernible honest way have the fans gotten nothing “new” in 9 years. 1 Quote

Yes but as stated previously, the issue is the 9 years. which included 8 years of nothing new before that with the previous line up. Time is infinite, but our time on earth isn't. We're talking lifetimes here now. for a few deep cuts and B sides. if that had all happened in the initial 2016-2018 run it'd be impressive. 'We got 4 new b sides, a re release from the classic era and great setlist rotation.' but it's happened over 8/9 years. the changes have been so glacier slow and so miniscule each time, they havent placated anyone. that's the issue. 1 Quote

Popular Post Carburetta Posted December 7, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 7, 2024 That actually quite a good little video. And I don’t mind the tag line, let’s face it, everything Guns N’ Roses did in 1985 was hellacool, so makes sense to borrow from that era. 9 Quote

GNR 1991 Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Won’t complain too much because the hype teaser is well done. Releasing this on a Saturday morning and going through with that tour slogan is just hilarious though. Keep your fans happy and release two more songs next year! 1 Quote
