If I held off, more would have come up but gives me one less thing to worry about. Just sorted Warsaw too. Will wait til the new year to see if I fancy Barca, I've never been and is a perfect excuse to head over. I also bought EE just to be sure that I can get to the rail. See you there. 1 Quote

I was there aswell ,on the first night in gold circle. Where I was, it was total chaos. Edited December 13, 2024 by marinergtfc 1 Quote

When I'm at a concert, even of my favorite bands, I like to enjoy it much like I enjoy a favorite movie, race, or other performance. It's a theatrical experience for some, rather than an interactive club dance party. Sure, I'll stand some (when everyone else is) and sing and maybe sway (dance) a little, but some folks prefer to be a dead fish at the show. My dad is the same way more or less. One dude even gave him shit for it at a show once (not GN'R, most Guns fans are pretty cool I've found) my dad handled it last time by standing the entirety of the remainder of the show, effectively blocking the little man's view who was behind him who apparently didn't think my dad was into the show enough, which bothered him. Hopefully, he learned his lesson to mind his own business and keep his mouth shut. Some of those folks may even pay more just to avoid the chaos some love, it's all a matter of preference. Others may have physical limitations or other handicaps that impede them from being as immersed as others at the show. On a mostly unrelated note, the only fights I have seen at concerts have been for bands like Def Leppard, Cheap Trick, Rush etc. I think I did see one altercation at a Guns show but it was some drunk with a staff member. I guess i always expect the die hards to be in that area, thats the way it always was. if you got to the front of the stage, it's because you were such a big fan. but this golden circle invention now means the best fans are priced out. the seating area is usually the best to watch and enjoy the shows experience (not the gnr give much of one anymore). for example for kiss or Tool, i'll sit as it's the experience. I did attend a gig with a wheelchair user once and sat with in the disabled section - best Fn seat in the house! so i'd recommend that! 2 Quote

I will defintely be waiting until we see if theres new music or PE or SP are added to wembley. it's just a shit venue for live music anyway unless you're absolutely battered and the crowd are into it. I'm going to oasis there so i loathe to go there twice in a summer. if monsters/atlas are out and being played, and the pyro is back with an actual stage show then i'll look for cheap tickets the day of the gig. if it's just another extension of this tour, then no. it'll be the first time gnr have been to uk since 2002 i wouldnt have gone. Wembley is a complete pain in the arse really, in so many ways- transport and accommodation being the primary ones I'd say. There's no way there won't be cheap tickets for it, though come next summer. Only time GNR have been to the UK since 2022 I didn't go has been 2022.....and I don't feel I missed out one bit. 1 Quote

You clearly don't understand how the music industry operates today. The band don't use anything as a selling point nor have control over ticket prices. Live Nation is the key holder to all and everything. Tour promotors, in this instance Live Nation are the ones pushing for artists to tour as its all based on supply and demand, as they are the ones making the most money, as they are the ones who take the biggest financial risk. Why do you think Live Nation and via association Ticketmaster have become the power brokers of the music industry. Live Nation would have seen an opportunity for Guns N Roses to tour based on supply and demand (not you as a hardcore fan, but the general public, who are the ones spending money in buck loads to attend live concerts) and they would have approached the bands booking agent with an opportunity. The bands booking agent would then contact the bands management with a financial offer who would then discuss this with the relevant people, Axl, Slash and Duff more then likely. The band would receive a guaranteed up front fee and get paid regardless of ticket sales. The promotor - Live Nation are the ones who lose money due to less tickets being sold as they are the ones covering the financial costs of the entire tour. If the band plays in half empty stadiums its simply not their problem, why would it be when they get paid regardless... If you think, Guns N Roses or their management team are the ones picking up the phone or emailing Live Nation to tour the world then you are very misguided..
