Karice
Since I Don't Have You is the MOST confusing Guns N'Roses music video EVER. π΅βπ« It looks like a weirdΒ fever dream. I don't get why there isn't a scene where Axl is lying in bed, sweating and sleeping and a thermometer on his bedside reads 102 and then the main part of SIDHY happens and we would know that Axl is having a fever dream. π‘π€£π€π€ Β How exactly did Axl's Bride die in November Rain? π€ It has been implied that she got trampled to death by the guests who fled in a panic when the sudden rain happened, but it's also been implied that she died by a gunshot wound to the head(Axl passes a gun shop inΒ his dream and in her casket her face is mirrored a common technique for gunshot victims ) Did Duff "steal," the rings? Because Slash the Ring bearer/Best Man starts looking for the rings in a slight panic and Duff offers him some rings with a sneaky smile on his face like π I wonder if Duff "Stole," the rings as a mischievous prank. π€£π€π€ Β In the Welcome To The Jungle music video, Axl puts his suitcase/Luggage on the floor after getting off the bus, which is a surefire way to get it stolen. π΅βπ« MOST people will NOT do this. I never got why Axl gets electrocuted. π±π³π΅βπ« It took me YEARS to realize that the Axl sitting in a chair and silently screaming is actually sitting in an electric chair and being electrocuted! π΅βπ«π±π³ I wonder why FOUR different Axls show up in the Welcome To The Jungle music video and all look like different people. The Small Town Axl who gets off the bus, the Rockstar Axl who is singing Welcome To The Jungle, the pretty Rockstar Axl who is watching TV, and the Axl being electrocuted happen to look like FOUR different people. π€ 1

Popular Post gunsnchalupas
In the November Rain video, Axl makes the dubious claim that Slash plagiarized one of his most iconic solos from Axl, despite the fact that Axl had yet to learn guitar. I am usually team Axl, but as a father and a husband I often have to be a peace keeper between multiple large personalities, so I try to see things both ways. I think that Slash lying about Axl in the media during the mid 90s could have been a way to mask the hurt he felt from Axl taking credit for his portions of the songwriting. Really, the entire music video shows too much of Axl's hand, as far as how he viewed Slash. You have to understand that the video is an Axl dream sequence. We know it is a dream sequence because there are no cars parked in or around a church. Even a multi-millionaire would have to have some form of transportation to and from a church. Axl was rich at the time, but he wasn't Dubai Oil Prince rich. He could not have built a Church in a secluded area of the desert, with nothing around, and flown in his friends and family to prevent the need for cars or facilities in or around the church. Not to mention, there was no hint that the wedding had any Islamic influence. It looked mostly catholic, or maybe agnostic. Even if you think this was creative liberties, the final hint that it is all a dream would be Slash playing the solo and getting electric tones despite his guitar not being plugged into an amplifier. Let's look at the facts. Axl Rose created a music video, where he exists in a universe where the song November Rain doesn't yet exist, and he wrote himself to dream Slash playing the exact solo Slash wrote for the song. That is similar to Axl saying, Slash is a dream thief. Not only that, he dreamed that Slash was a careless asshole. Not only did Slash almost ruin the wedding by being too drunk and stoned to manage the one responsibility Axl gave him (the ring), or alternatively, Slash was never given that responsibility by Axl, but he is so arrogant and drunk that he thought Axl had entrusted him with the ring (Axl trusted Duff, who in Axl's dream was clearly sober). Then, unhappy with the wedding being about Axl, Slash left to play guitar. Can you imagine what kind of person leaves their coworkers wedding to play electric guitar? Now keep in mind, Slash never did this, but Axl dreamed that Slash would. That shows the kind of low opinion Axl had of Slash, and provides a real strong deep dive into why he felt he had to bring in Zakk Wylde back in 1995.Β

To me it doesnβt matter what other people say. Let me ask you a question: Whatβs more important to you when listening to music? Your own opinion or the opinion of others? CD is different enough to love or to hate it. Β Some people became GNR fans because of CD and prefer it to every other record of Guns. CD is a different band, a different style, a different sub genre. Nothing wrong with preferring the CD era but all the comments of people claiming CD would be loved if released with Slash are just fan fiction. If CD would have been released with Slash it would sound totally different. But CD as it is, is not comparable to classic Guns. Itβs not some kind of evolution like often pretended. It contains some of the same elements because of Axl, but itβs different music. Edited September 10 by Free Bird

papashaun
How did we get this far on the topic, and no one mentioned the whole "Estranged" video yet?Β The director himself wasn't even sure what the Hell the video was trying to convey. This is one of my favorite songs by the band, but the video did not do the song justice. You have scenes jumping around from live footage, to a side story with Axl, to the whole water/dolphin scenes....just a lot of randomness.Β I understand it's still the most, or one of the most expensive music videos ever made, but it did not really seem to connect to the "Don't Cry" and "November Rain" videos directly, or obviously, considering it is supposed to be the final video in a "Trilogy."Β On top of that, to add more confusion.....it was released AFTER "The Spaghetti Incident" and after the SIDHY video was released. At that time period, it was very strange for a band/artist to back track to a song from a previous album, when you have a newer-recent release. From what I understand, it was released basically because the video was made, and was there,Β but the timing and real lack of pushing the single just made the whole thing a mess. Geffen should have put that video out much earlier, or should have just not released it at all during that time period.
