Bansidhe
new thread as doesn't seem to be a specific or related one. Sex Pistols and Frank Carter at the o2 Academy in Glasgow on Sunday night there. Carter did the songs authentically whilst still letting his own persona shine through. I saw the band with Lydon back in 2008 (I think) at Loch Lomond, and although it was fun, his voice really doesn't work for the Pistols material and hasn't for a long time. In fairness, when I saw PiL the following year and he seemed a whole lot more into it. The band genuinely looked to be properly enjoying themselves without any toxic presence there and also having someone who can perform the songs properly. lame ass security
I've never been a huge fan of the Pistols' music, but I love their attitude and that sneer. And I have to say Lydon is a better singer than he's been given credit for.
