I'd drool over any 1998-2004 material. Especially unheard tracks. That era is the valhalla, the holy grail, of GNR history to me.

Any mid-90s stuff would be interesting to hear once or twice, mainly to give a better picture of why Slash had such issues with Paul, but we know Axl wasn't doing vocals so it's far from a grail. The early-mid 2000's are the real goldmine - Monsters has some near Angel Down level vocals and it's been rotting in the vault for 20 years. Obviously I'm not expecting this to lead to any leaks, though.

I only really want CD era tracks with actual vocals nowadays, I never really revisit the Village Session instrumentals much because if Axl is the last remaining original member of GNR during that time (excluding Dizzy) to begin with - it is basically just a totally different thing lol basically just instrumentals made to present to Axl but not yet "GNR-ified" by him, you know?

I'm not sure there's any unheard songs from the classic era anyway, so the debate about which you'd rather get is pointless.

I really want to hear what Slash was working on before he left in 1996. Axl described it very glowingly.

Even if it's something from the CD era (which I doubt, plus it won't leak), it won't be anything that was worked on past 2001, simply because Zutaut wasn't around so he wouldn't have any material.

If you really want to be optimistic and love a conspiracy theory, maybe Zutaut is only covering up his ass because this stuff is already out there and ready to leak at any moment.

I don't expect leaks, it sounds unreasonable to say the least. Nevertheless, the archivist in me would be super happy to learn more info/titles/dates if he decides to simply show whatever this is about.

Slash is the most iconic lead guitarist who has been in Guns N' Roses, no doubt. That doesn't mean we can't critique his contributions to songs from the Chinese Democracy era, or prefer the work of others on those same songs.

Probably right....but whoever found it must of had a look at what it was and surely more likely than not, made copies...if so, I'd expect now it's published to be with Zu, if anything came out, the fingers would be instantly pointed at him....good cover to leak....🤪

1. He received a call from someone

2. He made a video about it

3. The title "Stolen stuff"

4. He confirmed that it's GNR stuff (to a die hard GNR fan who made a trip the last time to get his hands on material), assuming it's true and not a created meme.

5. He's gonna be keeping us posted in his show

6. The show is fairly recent

7. His wording when he's speaking, dismissing that he knew anything about it - meaning he doesn't know for sure, from how many hands that material was traded/sold or given to, before it got to the sheriff and label.

Regarding point 7 though, if he had something 'stolen' years ago and he doesn't know what it is exactly that might suggest he may have had multiple things 'stolen' over the years..
