You can't *just* release 2002-era music in 2024. First you have to make it much, much worse and do a terrible mix/production of it that you can then put out with barely any promotion at all. And only at a rate of 2 songs every 3 years. It's basic science really.

Where is it being reported he has been contacted by TB/GNR? And what exactly is the issue with him showing the haul - I know there will be issues regarding ownership etc but if it was stolen from him and it’s been returned….what’s stopping him detailing what it was before (potentially handing it over)?

I agree that he should be able to show us, the legal letter he received pointed out that the comments section in his video shows him confirming that there is music, and that is what called attention to the situation. Had it been just memorabilia items then there would not be an issue.

It would be interesting to see what else the band had up until Tom's departure that wasn't included in the Village leaks. There's probably a few or more with vocals we didn't get, and a bunch more instrumentals. 

My personal holy grail would be a bunch of/all material from 2002-2005 (pre-Bumblefoot).

No one is going to be stupid enough to claim to have material and then actually leak it. Well…no one is stupid enough to do it again. This is being done to garner attention whether they have anything of substance or not. Nothing more

Getting a legal letter is due diligence on behalf of GNR

Cheers. Even if there IS music and it ends up being returned….I don’t see why he can’t show what it is. I mean - the dearth of stuff happening these days….just KNOWING what it could be keeps speculations/discussions going on here!

It’s no different to those photos of the Machine Gun stuff in that storage facility…as much as we want to hear this stuff….just any kind of details is good stuff!

Zutaut's first video on this drew less than 800 views in 10 days. Nobody cares anymore about this stuff, at least not compared to a few years ago. If his intent was to drive traffic to his Youtube channel it didn't seem to work.

Despite all the sob stories these people tell on Appetite for Distortion and other media, I can see why GN'R are hesitant of managers and "label people" after Alan Niven, Tom, and Doug Goldstein. Not saying I would not have been the first in line had Tom actually leaked anything (not that he was ever going to), but in no way, shape, or form is this behavior of professionals. You do not see Irving Azoff making YouTube videos about driving to his storage locker to pick up decades old CDs with demos on them.

Well, Irving Azoff is in a much different situation. He’s the most powerful person in the industry and whatever work he did with Axl/GNR is a footnote on his resume at best 

These people aren’t exactly at the top of the game in the industry any longer. They got whatever power/notoriety they had from being alongside the band at its peak. Once that was over, they couldn’t use the experience to launch themselves upwards in any other substantial work in the industry.  Once the band either didn’t trust them, they moved on to other people or the band didn’t have as much pull at the label after the mergers happened, their ride at that level was essentially over
