Lelex95 Posted November 24 Posted November 24 With the imminent announcement for a 2025 tour we can assume the band will release some new singles like they did in this past years. Mmh bets are monsters (cause we know for sure it has been recorded by the new formation) perhaps atlas shrugged, because we know it was complete already. Im hoping maybe eye on you or a studio version of Wichita lineman or the seeker 2 Quote
TheDemocracyRose Posted November 24 Posted November 24 (edited) GNR doesn't have the same logic as other bands. So probably nothing... Edited November 24 by TheDemocracyRose 4 Quote
allwaystired Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Not wise to "assume the band will release some singles". Assume they will release nothing, to avoid disappointment. 1 Quote
jamillos Posted November 24 Posted November 24 (edited) Monsters would be quite a safe bet, since it's probably finished, and it’s a great song to boot. Correct me if I’m wrong, but we don’t know that Atlas Shrugged "was complete already". What does that mean? As for Eye on You/Wichita/Seeker, I’d rather eat a raw tomato, which I’ve detested since I was a kid, than support a notion of release of any of these songs as a new single, thank you very much! Raw tomatoes taste kind of sweet. 😋 I listened to Eye On You and I thought it sounded decent. 😀 1 1 Quote

So what I mean by complete is that it had lyrics and that we have a good recording of it, rather than a demo like we do for state of grace. im not a huge fan of eye on you but I think Wichita lineman and the seeker are both amazing and would add to the legendary gnr covers. 1 hour ago, JAxlMorrison said: Atlas & monsters That’s the safest bet 2 hours ago, allwaystired said: Not wise to "assume the band will release some singles". Also I really wanted to know what people wished for, I’d love monsters and atlas but I’d also really like to get state of grace sooner or later, more than I do eye on you. Quote

Bumblefoot suggested the only reason it was included on Chinese Democracy was that it didn't fit. So we can assume it was finished in 2008. But Axl might not consider it finished anymore if Slash and Duff haven't added to it - I think they have, though, and it is one of those lined up for release. Quote
gnfr20179 Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Monsters is a VERY safe bet… but for a potential second? I don’t know, no one EVER anticipated TG so maybe something else totally out of left field? Quote

However, we're just speculating here, even if it's based on good logic. Ok Quote

It could have been discarded back in 2008, or not be prioritized for release anymore. There is a certain amount of unpredictability here. Most likely we are getting a new single next year, most likely it is Monsters but we don't really know. We could get nothing, we could get a song we haven't heard before, we could get a reworked Silkworms or a studio recording of Black Hole Sun. Guaranteed there will be lots of complaining. Quote

Yeah, I know what you mean, don't worry! I don't think we'll see Monsters. I really do think that was meant to be on the vinyl single of Perhaps but hit the skids when they had that "poor quality" issue, based on them trying to put too much music on it. That's why it leaked with the other two songs. Given that, I'd say Atlas would be the most likely contender. I can't see Eye On You coming out, die to bits of it already being used. Quote
Coma16 Posted November 24 Posted November 24 (edited) Itll probably another push of The General, coinciding with the music box from the delayed NT fanclub Jokes aside, it's gotta be a full album (lol) at this point, right? Edited November 24 by Coma16 Quote
Rovim Posted November 24 Posted November 24 just speculation but I think Atlas wasn't left behind or Monsters. I hope it's something we haven't heard yet with vocals or at all for obvious reasons. if not, I hope it's State Of Grace cause I consider it the strongest track from the leaks with vocals next to Atlas. Sledge Posted November 24 Posted November 24 That latest U2 release has me divided over holding a song until you get it right or just drop it for the fans to get a snapshot of that point in time writing and move on... I don't know what I prefer. If you like multiple bands active at different points then your needs are served. Quote
Gibson87 Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Don't get your hopes up. This might be the last time we see them on tour so enjoy it while it lasts Quote

El Guapo Posted November 24 Posted November 24 The lamest choice would be Atlas and/ or State of Grace since both songs are super boring and go nowhere. So that's probably what they'll do. 2 Quote

Coma16 Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Is the demand really that high that Europe wants to see GNR 3 years out of 4? Quote
axlsalinger Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Children of the Revolution seems fairly likely. If they release multiple singles, I assume one will be Atlas Shrugged. It would be really great to get Monsters, and best of all a song we have never heard of before. Quote
ChristmasFnatic Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Who wanna take a bet- will they open with ISE or finally, Jungle as it should be? 1 Quote
