©GnrPersia Posted November 24 Posted November 24 (edited) Some new toy trucks & a GNR towel makes it. People gonna buy ticket to see SCUM and WTTJ anyway. Edited November 24 by ©GnrPersia 1 Quote
Gordon Comstock Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Perhaps and The General are the "new songs" they'll be touring behind next year. I don't know why anyone is expecting Monsters, Atlas, etc It would be nice to get Children Of The Revolution in the spring, but that's kinda out of Axl's hands and I don't expect them to do it live anyway. GNR 1991 Posted November 24 Posted November 24 There seems to be a trend every 2 years where the band releases two singles. That much we can assume. We can also assume Monsters is finished after the Slash and Duff version leaked. If they release Monsters next year, it's hard to guess what the accompanying single could be. As much as I like Atlas, I'm hoping for something totally unheard by the fanbase. Atlas can wait til 2027 lol 2 Quote

People keep saying this, but it's not really the trend. Their pattern has been to release songs during a US tour, and spend the next year touring the rest of the world with those being the new songs. Since they took 2024 off, it's more logical to assume they'll spend 2025 promoting the Perhaps single, not releasing more. Quote

WhazUp Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Considering we already have Monsters leaked, to me it would be very dumb not to get that out both because the cat is already out of the bag, and it seems to be one of the stronger songs of the entire bunch IMO I am not expecting anything else - expecting things in GNR land just leads to disappointment lol. If anything else does surface that way I will be pleasantly suprised Quote

But honestly, there is likely to be another US tour next year after Europe anyway, so the 2 year slow drip trend can still continue. A 2025 tour just to promote Perhaps/General singles without 2 more releases would be pointless. I feel Perhaps was thoroughly toured enough in 2023 and had pretty good fanfare overall. bring on Monsters and whatever else leftover they got ready to drop in 2025 Quote

Izzy squire Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Nothing have the BEST vocal melodies of the village sessión. I imagine this song whith post punk bass, like evert breath you take, and whith a great slash's solo. Nothing can be a little scom. Quote

Needs two verses and a bridge worth of lyrics too. axl hasn't been doing anything but repeating lyrics for recent songs. wouldn't surprise me if he thinks thats the final version. And can we stop the atlas hate. it's a very good song. great melody, pleasant and melancholy. Ok it's not a top 10 GnR song of all time but it's a good song, radio friendly and i hope it is that with Monsters. 1 Quote
AtlasShrugged Posted November 25 Posted November 25 We'll no doubt get a big lead up to a new single and it'll be something we already have.. Monsters. Would be great to be hearing songs totally fresh (like we did with Monsters when it leaked). But it's hard to get excited about an official release of it, Atlas etc when we basically have close to finished versions of them. Quote

I don’t really understand why people hate it either. 1 Quote

I don’t know about that, I think if it came out right now it would be the best of the new singles hands down, I honestly think it’s a very good song and I don’t really get what a big gun is, it should be referred as a very good song or a song that could be a single off an album but I get the feeling that to many it means a song off the greatest hits taken from afd o uyi 1 Quote

I believe Nothing was worked on subsequent to the leaked mix from 2000. It was listed as "Nothin" on a 2008 "CD2" song list. If I were a betting man, I'd estimate the next batch of singles will be Monsters and Atlas Shrugged. Quote
Voodoochild Posted November 25 Posted November 25 I don't think they will tour next year without a new single. They already have Monsters seemingly ready, so that would be easy for them. Other than that, I already released Crash Diet, Eye on You and will put out a nice cover of a GNR cover with evader soon. 1 Quote
Tom-Ass Posted November 25 Posted November 25 More underwhelming CD leftovers... almost 9 years post reunion.. Most boring band ever. 2 Quote
Axls_Moustache_Rules Posted November 25 Posted November 25 A clearer, higher quality rip of Monsters will be greatly appreciated. Quote

Propaganda Posted November 25 Posted November 25 (edited) I'm betting on Monsters by itself first, with no changes from what we have listened, then Atlas Shrugged afterwards by itself as well. But it's only my guess. I don't think they will waste more new songs on b-sides. Edited November 25 by Propaganda Quote
