I also find his playing to be excellent. He even plays some of Bucket's leads live. I hope they utilize him more in the studio on future releases. Give him a few solos at the very least! "I hope they utilize him more in the studio on future releases" - I'd like them to just utilize a studio, let alone use Fortus.... 1 1 Quote

KFChead, Robin Finck, Paul Huge, Bumblehead, DJ Ashba....I am pretty sure they weren't there for sax, drums or trumpets. so yeah, VERY much revolving door, Belive it or not, I am pretty sure there were a few others in the circus I can't even remember. Maybe you are traumatized like most here, but can't neglect the tenure of those characters under GNR moniker. Quote

Aint that the truth! There were rumors or an interview from the CD-era where Richard said his favorite song is one we have not heard yet. I know he likes to tease, but I thought there's a song where he plays lead on that has yet to be released as well. Quote

You specifically mentioned Izzy's role, which obviously wasn't followed by a 'revolving door' 2 Quote

This is what my UYI1 CD looks like. I did a google search and while it's not that common, it was an official release here in Australia back in the early 90's. It was sold as a limited edition gold picture disc CD edition. So there you go - Gilby's picture on an official UYI release, which I know makes zero sense...! I'm still trying to find my UYI cassettes, which feature a picture of Gilby on the inner sleeve as well. 7 1 Quote

Man, after Gilby left I honestly lost interest/track who was playing what. At times you had 2 guitarists, then 3, then 4. Who was lead Huge? Ashba? Bucketfoot? Who was rhythm? Finck or maybe Ashba or maybe Bumblefoot? Did they have a lead and rhythm or just any 4 cheapest guys Axl picked up on the street who made noise? No idea. In all honesty...If you are a HC fan, you want the best for your band, you root for them. After TSI and guys falling down, I couldn't watch that shit anymore and listen to the crap recorded from there. What do you hear to this day on the radio, PC or CD? Madagscar or YCBM? WTTJ or Absurd? Don't cry or TIL? SCOM or General? That gives you the answer, no matter how subjective towards Axl one might be. Edited January 9 by Frankfurt93 1 Quote

I don't even know why you bother to check on this forum 30 years after you lost interest in this band. Also, do you really care about radio? Or singles, for that matter? Or what the general audience likes? Well, I don't. Quote

I don't really like how Brain described Bucket's difficulties with other guitarists, or how Bumble said he didn't have access to new tracks or time to set up a proper gear for the 2006 tour. It all seems pretty bad, as if it was extra hard for everyone to do the basic stuff. And obviously, management played a huge part in that. And no, it wasn't Fernando's fault. I think. 1 Quote

Yeah, TB weren’t even the managers yet. They were still just Axl’s assistants. 2 Quote
