Between those two bands, I'd pick Led Zeppelin.

But I don't consider Led Zep. to be a psychedelic band. When I hear that term, I think of bands like Jefferson Starship/Jefferson Airplane.

The Syd Barrett era of Pink Floyd was really psychadelic. Some of the weirdest stuff came out of his head.

Then when he was thrown out they just became a fantastic prog rock band. Zep were never psychadelic. The drug induced Beatles songs were (why dont we do it in the road, Piggies et al). I consider Tommy, by The Who, to be very psychadelic, but i guess that was the cinematography rather than the music.
