SofaKingWhat
Those bands were rock n roll and ruled britain???I must have missed that meeting!
Dr_L
well rock n roll belonged to britain in the 90's so whos your favourite band out of these? Most of these bands are not even close to rock n' roll! Blur, Pulp and the dorks in Oasis are definetly not rock n' roll! And stop that shit about rock n' roll belonged to britain in the 90's. What about Guns N' Roses "Use Your Illusion 1 and 2", Metallica "Black Album", Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Bon Jovi..... the list goes on and on. Perhaps in Britain you use to listen to these bands alot in the 90's. The rest of the world did to. But they were far from enough to make rock n' roll belong to britain. supershadow
Britain was the place for rock n roll in the 90s. in america everyone was listening to bush and all that semi-grunge shit.
Gash
I voted Stone Roses but it was between them or Radiohead for me.
redapple
60's and 70's rock n' roll belonged to Britain: Rolling Stones, Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin etc.
stratomaster
From that list I would go with either Radiohead or Oasis...
Dr_L
60's and 70's rock n' roll belonged to Britain: Rolling Stones, Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin etc. That's more true, but not entirely. There were alot of american bands as well KISS, Jimi Hendrix (not a band) among others.

gnruk
i was just watching a documentary called, blood on the turntables about The Stone Roses, did you know after their first album they wanted to sign with geffen and geffen wanted them because they knew they had the potential to be the best band on the planet, geffen gave the stone roses £300,000 but their manager fucked them over and stole all the money. Very sad story regarding the roses.
