Still, I don't think I'm not sure on how my top 4 would look. Jagger, Mercury, Rose and Scott, in no particular order. They all had their own special things, and ways to connect with an audience.

So Robert Plant had nothing then?

i don't think Robert Plant was that good... he had incredible stage presence... i can even tell that through DVDs... but he didn't do much... somehow merely his personna was enough.

Axl and Bon worked for it though.

You really have to hear him live. Yeah, he doesn't run rings around the stage, but he has such a powerful porformance style that it really sucks you in. And that voice. There is nothing like being in a large crowd and hearing that voice wail out "You need coolin, oh baby I aint foolin." I feel very fortunate to have seen him on the twin bill with the who, but I thought that the rolls should have been reversed: Plant pretty well owned the Who on presance and voice, even though the Who's music was better (Plant played mostly his new solo record at the time, Dreamland).
