SofaKingWhat
In light of the Sheryl Crowd covered SCOM thread in the gnr discussion forum, some people claim covers should not be allowed. This may have been done before, but what songs would you say are better than the originals? Not including random songs a band have played on stage as one of or anything, or for arguements sake, not including anything from The Spaghetti Incident. My list for thought;Sympathy For The Devil - GNRLive And Let Die - GNRKnocking On Heavens Door - GNRTainted Love - Marlyn MansonPersonal Jesus - Marylin MansonAll Along The Watchtower - Jimi HendrixWord - Korn99 Red Balloons - Goldfingerincidently on another note, anyone heard & seen the video for Electric 6's version of radio ga ga? obviously its never better than the original, but tis quite clever and the video is funny. Only they could get away with it! the guy even looks a bit like freddy.
cold*heartbreaker
All the GNR covers you mentioned plus Tainted Love by Manson. I also enjoy his version of Sweet Dreams. There are some covers I can't get straight like Cocaine and Hurt. Who does the originals for these? I know this is a dumbass question but I've been confused for a long time lol. SofaKingWhat
Hallowed Be Thy Name - Cradle Of FilthOnce you hear the Iron maiden one, you feel it's too slow paced. Maiden tend to play it a lot faster live, and it sounds so much better.

stratomaster
The one that would stick out for me is All along the watchtower (Dylan) - Jimi Hendrix. He actually wanted jimi to cover more of his songs saying they were all his anyway, surprisingly.
