slash85 Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 I personally love this band and think they were the best grunge band. Any alice in chains fans out there, just curious Quote
New Rose Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 Not a huge AIC fan, but i've heard some good tunes from them. "Rooster", "Down In A Hole" and "Them Bones" really kick ass! Personally I don't really like grunge, well not Nirvana by a chance. But in my opinion, the best grunge band was definetly Soundgarden. Specialists say that it was Soundgarden who brought grunge to mainstream, not Nirvana. But still, pretty good band that AIC. Quote
steve-o Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 AIC roccks face, their Unplugged performance is a must have Quote
johnezz Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 AIC are my favourite grunge band, and i agree, their Unplugged stuff is very good. Quote
tomgun Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 My favorite band. I esp like their first record facelift, which is great as AFD.jerry cantrell is cooooooool. Quote
SlashsLesPaul Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 for the musically challenged out there....soundgarden WAS NOT GRUNGE.they were there in the eighties doing metal, and in the nineties they did , lets say led zeppelin-ish heavyrock/metal.just cos theyre from seattle doesnt mean they are grunge for crying out loud.the only band you can describe as grunge is nirvana, and what the media did was lump everyone together and brainwash you all with this hype.the end Quote
Wreckless_Life Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 They're a great band, I've got Facelift and Dirt. Anymore reccomendations? Quote
Bruno Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 for the musically challenged out there....soundgarden WAS NOT GRUNGE. their last two albums were grunge Quote

Wreckless_Life Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 Who gives a damn what genre these bands were (just call them alternative rock/metal), they made great music and thats what matters. Quote

I don't care what you say, Superunknown and Down on the Upside are just as grunge as Nevermind. Since you don't have good appreciation of the sound, check the AMG for further information about the styles of the two albums I mentioned Quote
