I really have some big respect for U2,but these days they are boring.Anyway,their last album is very good.

But I prefer Green Day by miles,great band,great attitude and their last album is not very good,it's a masterpiece.

imo it's u2...greenday never wrote where the streets, sunday bloody sunday, one, miss sarajevo, and sometimes u can't make it on your own and a lot of other great stuff out there.... really good stuff...

Wheres Bono? lol i'd expected him to be the first to rip on this poll/post lol.

Well I went with U2 since I like them just a little bit better. GreenDay are great but they repeat themselves (well U2 does sometimes but they do it in the kewl way) and Bono's voice is incredible. Matched ownly by the late Great Sir Freddie Mercury.

I completely agree with you.

Whether you agree with Bono's politics or not, it doesn't take away what an amazing band this is and their place in music history. We'll have to wait and see if anyone remembers Green Day 25 years from now.

To me, Bono's politics are a hundred times better than his music. Which is decent to moderately good (at best) music.

Greenday, technically is a worse band. They have much less creativity, use some pretty simple progessions in their music, but I just don't like U2 very much.

thank u but when i posted that green day was winning 10-5... so untill the people who really know rock arrived and saved the day i thought i'd be bashed... ps..bono is a lot better singer, the edge is just cool man and u2 rocks... greenday never did the joshua tree, and achtung baby and a couple other good songs...plus u2's new cd is good too and it's awesome that they can still do it and wrtie so many years later...
