morphine
I have been a huge gnr for a long time. I like the old, i like the new...whatever...but i was wondering if the snakepit stuff or any other stuff is really worth my while...please chime in with your opinions on slash's or izzy's stuff. what is good? what sucks? Why? compare it to gnr, etc...is it even worthwhile without Axl’s signature voice?
Duffan
Well I prefer Izzy's solo stuff to Slash's because Izzy's is more well GnR Illusions/Stones sounding and personally I like Izzy's singing he also has 4 solo albums out and they are all quality , Snakepit is ok The 2 album ALG is better ,it's not as bad as many people make it out to be but it's not great only like 3 solid songs but the music is cool ( needless to say ) , Duff's solo stuff has gotten better in recent years ad his Band Loaded is pretty good as well , but if your gonna spend the $$ go with Izzy's material and download the other stuff . Peace GnR Nation 8)
Carne_asaDA
Snakepit stuff has some pretty good guitar riffs. It would be better if you take of the vocals and just hear the instruments.
Stupid_Moron
Yeah i like Ain't Life Grand.. but um.. never heard Izzy's stuff! :-/ or Duff's!
madison
Regarding Slash, there are a few songs that aren't bad, such as "Beggars & Hangers On" and "Mean Bone."But I agree with the person who said the vocals are the weakest part of the music. I like some of Gilby's stuff - his "Swag" album is OK. And if you get a chance to see Gilby play live, don't pass it up. I saw him a couple of months ago, and he looked and sounded amazing. It's a shame he never got to showcase his talent when he was with GNR.
Carne_asaDA
Duff was the worse album in rock history. I'm sorry but he embarrased himself. I did not like his stage presence either. He did not know his role. Slash would be in front of the stage with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth looking smooth. But here comes Duff right next to him with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth also. And he just looked corny.

Ken
I heard Duff's band "Loaded" and Slash's Snakepit. They both totally suck compared to GNR work.
