Then they ask why the songs went shit?..Here's a theme: the way cats crouch down when they take a shit.Yeah write about that one.Seriously dude, that's INSPIRATION. You don't ask other people for themes, you get inspired by things to write about things. Stuff that happens to you, stuff that you see. That is the only way you can relate to the subject, and really get into the writing process.IMO.I have to agree with you on this one Projected!!Lyrics come from your own experiences. Among the 15 or so that I have written most could be referred to as "Black/Death" lyrics.But every now and then I surprise myself and write something upbeat and positive! Because I am going through an enlightened experience at the time!The only one that doesnt fit into either catergory is the tribute I wrote for a friend of mine that had had an accident! I have tried to write a cheesy puff piece and it ends up sounding like bullshit! Certainly not somewhere I want my lyrics to go! Use your life as your inspiration!
