I think it's a great movie. The animation is tremendous and the music's excellent. I do agree that it's probably the ultimate in Roger Waters self indulgence, however, that only serves to add more enjoyment to it all.

Still haven't bought the DVD and I lent someone the video and the guitar tabs book I had a while back and haven't seen them since! I've watched it so many times in the past that I won't watch it again for years now anyway. Great film.

thanks for all the feedback...

the overall philosophy/theme is interesting as well:

that we're all fascists in some ways and we have to find ways to deal with it and also to learn from this story by not bottling it up inside, hence "the wall"

i thought it was also kinda sad, the story itself :(

I need to get a Pink Floyd album.  Should I det Dark Side Of The Moon or The Wall?

neither, get Wish You Were Here, then get DSOM and then The Wall

Start with either DSOTM or Wish You Were Here.

After you have both, move on to stuff like Animals, The Wall, or Meddle (less conceptual, musicaly incredible)

CMON!!!!!!!!....PIPERS AT THE GATES OF DAWN!!! :wub:rock3

intersteller overdrive :wub::wub:

:ph34r:

Wish You Were Here is also my other favorite

of course i like all of em though rock2

I don't understand why people say that you have to be on drugs to get this movie. It's not hard to grasp on to. A man builds his own 'wall' against society, who he feels has screwed him a lot by taking his father from him in World War II, having his wife cheat on him, and having an uncaring mother. He then discovers that life behind the Wall isn't like he thought and tries to tear it down.

Personally, I love this movie. I have watched it dozens of times and have never got tired of it. The visuals, the story, the music, everything is just great! Phenomenal movie, especially if you are like me and enjoy movies that defy the usual plot standards.
