Guest Posted November 26, 2002 Posted November 26, 2002 I think DrPun is threatened by females who use big words Madison. Or perhaps he is just threatened by the female species altogether. he obviously has some sort of psychological issues or he wouldn't spout off in vulgarity, he would be man enough to walk away from the topic if not apologize straight out. but then again I am a dreamer and I keep hoping that the cave men types will evolve.
DrPun Posted November 26, 2002 Posted November 26, 2002 UUUGGG DrPun no cave man. He can walk upright and no trouble hunting mammals. Me sorry. :'(No wait I'm not F U C K OFFFFFF ;D
rockerman Posted November 26, 2002 Posted November 26, 2002 "I say if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen" Personaly what difference does it make?. No I don't think attacking people on thier position or gender is "O.K." but the finger goes both ways.. both of you are telling each other to Shut the F U C K up!!!The only difference is the semantics. And personally I defend the freedom of speech. As for me 'slandering" Steven thats the farthest thing from my mind.... I wanted the orginal line up more than anybody in here. The TV program was on E! about six weeks ago. In the archives of Steves Website about a month or so back there was a response to a fans question about the early days. Hit Parader did a write up in July of 94 or 95 of the lawsuit....... several soundbites later and such is where if at best I got my "Information"....that and just about every rock mag and program I can obtain with GNR in it. ...But the definitive one will be the E! interview. Wait until you see it. The man is a wreck. He mumbles because he can't move the side of his face. His place is a tiny apartment. He looks sad but puts on a brave front. When he spoke of the past you could tell it tore him up inside. On his wall is the gold records for AFD and pictures of the glory days.I dont seek "credibility" its more or less an opinion/speculation. Theres no hidden agenda here to debate the past...to libel any one. It is/was information. Embellished.. if you say so. But creative writing. Why?For what cause? And what is "Unfair" is you thinking its your right or your place to jump peoples s h i t for what they think. Again, for some insane reason people in here have a very difficult time discerning between opinion and fact and heaven forbid that this little forum ever say anything that could be remotely threatning to anyones sense of well being. Perhaps in the future I'll be like Mr. Sparkle and throw in potshot one or two liners....!!! ;D
COKE8 Posted November 26, 2002 Posted November 26, 2002 well well boys n girls what do we have here a battle of the roses. lol well anyways I think you guys need 2 apologize to the ladies esp Madison she deserves more respect than that. but i will say this the comments about Steven adler I have heard read before except the once about him giving head for coke. I have in addition to these stories heard about XXX porn stars like Tabitha Stevens state that Steven Adler would masterbate in front of them for drugs back in the day. Heard these and a lot of the stories mentioned in previous posts on Howard Stern show, e entertainment, and on various magazines.
madison Posted November 26, 2002 Posted November 26, 2002 " ... No I don't think attacking people on thier position or gender is "O.K." ... Good to hear. ... but the finger goes both ways.. both of you are telling each other to Shut the F U C K up!!! ...I have never EVER told anyone to "shut the f*ck up" -- Far too juvenile and obtuse. Whenever I see someone make that remark, I know immediately that they've lost the debate they were arguing. Such a person has obviously run out of any rational, intellectual comment to back up their position. . And personally I defend the freedom of speech...I do too -- except when it involves attacking another based on gender or race. There's too much hate in the world, and I'm certainly not going to condone it. ... As for me 'slandering" Steven thats the farthest thing from my mind.... I wanted the orginal line up more than anybody in here. The TV program was on E! about six weeks ago...That's all I wanted to know -- where you heard this. Thank you. I'll watch for the show. Was the show solely on Steven?
rockerman Posted November 26, 2002 Posted November 26, 2002 The segment was about 15 minutes long. No it wasn't just on steven but he was the last segment shown. It would have had to been filmed recently because it made reference to Axl gearing up for this tour. He was totally candid about things. He kept saying how the drugs had cost him the biggest thing in life- GNR. Clearly hes a man with regrets. He has this little electronic drum set like Rick Allens that he plays on. And it shows him trying his chops out..which to the average viewer might seem good but clearly he's got along way to go to get back to where he was.

So I guess that's why it bothers me when people take shots at him or diss him. As I said earlier, he was part of the original lineup that brought GNR to the top, and I think he deserves respect. It's no secret that he had plenty of problems and made mistakes. But, as you point out in the interview Rockerman, he clearly regrets them. I'm sure not a day goes by where he doesn't realize what he had and what he lost, and wish he could have those years back again. I've heard he's cleaned himself up and is trying to make music again. I wish him well.
gnrlies Posted November 27, 2002 Posted November 27, 2002 thats nice... ;DI think that he deserves the respect...I mean he might of done some bad thigns, but as madison said, he regrets them and has cleaned himself up now.
rockerman Posted November 27, 2002 Posted November 27, 2002 yeagh who doesn't have a little of that going on in thier life? My only comment is not to kick a dog while he down... History is history. Thats why its tough to accept it when it doesn't fit our ideal/perception. Loss is loss and Steve lost a big gig. Even when he had the resources given him he couldn't bring himself to evolve. Good lesson to us all.
