pimpster4183 Posted November 20, 2002 Posted November 20, 2002 what's the story behind one in a million? ever been played live?
Mr_Sparkle Posted November 20, 2002 Posted November 20, 2002 yep.... i have a few bootlegs of them playing it live.
Stupid_Moron Posted November 20, 2002 Posted November 20, 2002 Yeha i have one live version! I think it's only been played a couple of times live.... mabye more but there are only a couple of recordings!
holydiver Posted November 20, 2002 Posted November 20, 2002 hmm.. someone told me something yesterday i find difficult to believe ... has axl ever said in an interview that he believes in the superiority of the arian race or something like this ??? i don't believe it ..the only reason i'm putting it here is because this person is a lot older than me and was very serious about it,because (he said) he had watched that interview a long time ago ... :-/
Gcam Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 I have a live version of them playng it in a club the day they wrote it.
madison Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 hmm.. someone told me something yesterday i find difficult to believe ... has axl ever said in an interview that he believes in the superiority of the arian race or something like this ??? i don't believe it ..the only reason i'm putting it here is because this person is a lot older than me and was very serious about it,because (he said) he had watched that interview a long time ago ... :-/No.Axl once said in an interview that many people "misunderstood" and "misinterpretted" the song. I think your friend is one of them.
holydiver Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 wtf that's what i believe too, but he seemed so sure about what he was talking that i was shocked like there would be a 0.000001% possibility it might have happened ..
Mr_Sparkle Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 LOL, ummm no. There were some things in the song that were not 'politically correct' but Axl has explained many times what the 'exact' meaning of the song is.
RobinsFinck Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 I have a live version of it in a club when they played one in a million, patience and duff's cornchucker the only time i've ever heard this song. One in a million was not played a lot live and I don't think it will ever be played again even if the originals were together. I had heard that it was going to removed from future releases of GNR lies but i'm not sure if this ever happened?
DrPun Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 What show was the one in a million played so I can look for it on eBay or maybe my connection can get me a bootlet. I just need to know at what show it was played. And if it is cut from new releases of the Lies cd it just shows that this politically correct country is turning to S H I T How can anyone forget "imigrants and fagots, make no sence to me, they come to our country and think they'll do as they please."Thats what this is aboutrelax and kill some Haitians in Vice
Kprice Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 If you want to know the meaning behind the song, listen to the words. Just a suggestion.
gnrlies Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 well apparantly its not about axl's views, its about a fictional characters views, but it may be a little hard to interpret it as this.
Kprice Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 The song's about Axl trying to get out of LA, from a Bus Station. The song is called "One in a million", because he got help from someone in that Bus Station, in getting home.
gnrlies Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 well i dont know the exact story but i know axl has said it wasn't about him. (hence he and GNR werent racist)
