santana Posted May 25, 2005 Share Posted May 25, 2005 Don't get it. That amp is terrible. My friend has one, and we have spent hours trying to get it to sound good, with no luck. The amp is terrible. It gets no bottom end at all. The OD1/OD2 channels are terrible and it isn't loud enough. The only positive is that the clean channel is pretty good. tommybones Posted May 26, 2005 Share Posted May 26, 2005 The marshall mg series is the the biggest pile of shit ever. if you want a marshall sound for about that price look at the AVT amps, they have a part valve (tube) preamp i think so its as close to the classic marshall sound as possible. realisticaly if that is your price range the AVT series is just about the best, although try and play some second hand marshalls too. just stay the fuck away from MGs. and line 6, all you get is digital fuzz and noise.
