try taking one of those modern music courses they teach you loads of studio stuff as well as music. or else go down to the biggest music store in your area, preferably independent, and look at the ads they have up, often these are for session work, not good stuff though, but people do use those boards so its worth putting up your own ad. the only way you'll get work is if you're known on the scene and you really need to work your way up from the bottom, but its worth trying to make contacts that way.
