I loved Awake, Images And Words and Met Pt 2.

Train of Thought and the Octavarium (the new one) are horrific.

So I really don't know what to think of them right now. Amazing instrumentally. The singer does my head in, especially on the new album.

Probably a while before I buy the new one as I'm broke.

I picked it up after hearing it was second only to Images & Words in the quality department. It's really disappointing. All semblance of anything remotely heavy has been expunged from their sound. Bah.

Totally agree. Is it just me or is Petrucci also lacking quite a bit on this album? It seems to be more vocally orientated.
