slashdiciple Posted January 30, 2002 Posted January 30, 2002 Hey, I just want to point out that Axl didn't single-handedly write these songs. Everybody acts like he wrote every lyric of every song - bullshit. Insiders note that Izzy actually wrote a huge portion of the lyrics. The same used to be true about the Stones, everybody thought Mick Jaggar wrote all the words, but in actuality Kieth Richards was instrumental in the song writing.Saul
Guest Posted January 30, 2002 Posted January 30, 2002 we know Axl did't write ALL the songs, but there really is no way to tell.....In the Illusion liner notes, it says rigth by all the songs, but thats mostly for the music. It says Slash and only Slash by "coma" , but Axl wrote all the lyrics to it.
Robban Posted February 4, 2002 Posted February 4, 2002 Who wrote one in a million and what was he/they thinking anyway?

Gcam Posted February 9, 2002 Posted February 9, 2002 Sorry to break up your little lyrical rendition but in response to Robert's earlier question, Axl wrote One In A Million, the lyrics and the main guitar riff. He wrote it about some tough situations that had happened in his life. It wasn't meant to seem so generalized, in fact, that's why last year, or the year before, he recalled all unsold copies of Lies and The Spaghetti Incident to remove One In A Million and Charles Manson's Look At Your Game Girl. ;D PS does anyone else think the smiley I just used looks like a picture of Axl from somewhere?
Gauda Posted February 9, 2002 Posted February 9, 2002 My brother has had those cd`s so I really didnt bother to buy those cd`s before a couple a weeks ago..And I got one in a million and Look at you game girl....
Gauda Posted February 9, 2002 Posted February 9, 2002 But I have read that aswell, that those songs wont be on future releases.. Maybe Norway is just so damn slow
little_witch Posted February 9, 2002 Posted February 9, 2002 I've replaced both cds within the past 6 months and got both tracks. So I don't think it's because you're in Norway.
Guest Posted February 9, 2002 Posted February 9, 2002 Axl's just a genius, period. All his songs are just f--kin' great, but I think "Estranged," "Coma," "Locomotive," "Breakdown," "Civil War," "Yesterdays," and "November Rain" are his best ever.
Gcam Posted February 10, 2002 Posted February 10, 2002 I heard that the retraction of those songs was only in the US so that'll be why you haven't noticed it in Norway Gauda. But where do you come from little witch? ???
little_witch Posted February 10, 2002 Posted February 10, 2002 The states but I will say I had a very hard time finding TSI. Called several places to track down a copy. And it was their last. But Lies wasn't hard to find at all. Of course Look at Your Game is a hidden track so maybe I was just lucky and it wasn't on the other copies.
axlsmum Posted February 11, 2002 Posted February 11, 2002 Seems I'm seriously missing something here - Look at your game. What CD is it on? Lies? If so, it is hidden so well that I am yet to discover it. Some help would be appreciated guys.
Gauda Posted February 11, 2002 Posted February 11, 2002 Its on the Spagetti Incident?.. After the last song it goes a couple of seconds and then Look at your game girl starts..
axlsmum Posted February 11, 2002 Posted February 11, 2002 Cheers Gauda. I still haven't listened to TSI all that closely as it is far from my fave. Currently packed in a box somewhere so will keep an ear out when I get to the other side.
