I have not liked bands before but have seen clearly why other people would like them, Faithless being an example off the top of my head. The Libertines were a fucking noise at the best of times. Now i like noise. Good noise. They are shit noise. Babyshambolic.....erm

well. the libertines to me sound like an old punk group back from the 60's, this isn't necessarily a good thing, they definately fit the 'no talent reqired' bill, i think they sound musically inept. there are one or two songs that i dont mind, but i just think theyre too much of a representation of a music era that doesnt really fit anymore.

I love them, at first i totally didnt get them, but that was a few years ago and now i cant get enough of them, without a dout my favorite band. Now on the other hand Babyshambles or bolloks, Pete can do much better than them!

It's got nothing to do with who doherty is or what he does. The simple, plainly obvious fact is; they are the worst type of third on the bill pay to play band i have ever had the misfortune of hearing. Fucking awful. I don't care about 'movements' or fucking 'scenes'. They are fucking terrible. Anyone who disagrees doesn't like music for what it is.....sounds coming out of something that sound fucking good.

I've only heard the second album and I felt it was touched by genius. The songs seem to drop out of thin air. Like I've heard them before but they're brand new. I would have to say they are very English. Influenced by Morissey and some London punk bands. Dandyism is difficult to pull off. They are very retro and aren't a hard rock band. They aren't punk rock. They are pop punk. I don't think they will ever produce a record with cross over appeal of Nevermind or even Appetite.

They werer an awesome band, but not the saviours of british rock n roll as some people were claiming. Their tunes are catchy and good to dance to.

However, i can't stand Pete Doherty, and how on earth can he be seeing Kate Moss?

From what I have heard of Babyshambles, they sound similar to the Libertines, though not as good. They are playing where I live, but im on holiday when they play

They are more pop rock imho. They are nothing special, some songs were catchy, but thats as far as it goes.

On the other hand Razorlight are a great band, people get their album Up All Night, its a great one.

Yeah I'd say that guy in Libertines has the goods but he's not as ambitious as Axl or someone. He seems to be pretty far out and loving it. Like I'm not coming back, sorry!!! He hasn't hit a patch of failure or maybe he just keep rolling on whatever happens. Libertines/Babyshambles will probably do about 8 albums before CD comes out. I definitely wanna hear Kilamangiro - what a title!!! - stolen from GTA????
