I like Coldplay, but U2 is much better.

Coldplay can barely sell out a stadium tour in the UK at the moment.. thats a fact.

Coldplay consist of decent songs (nothing more) with a giant hype machine behind them.

Im not the biggest fan of either band, but U2 wipe the floor with coldplay.

I like both. Coldplay would make a good opening act for U2. I like U2's music a bit more, mostly because I like Bono better than Chris Martin. Both are very good.

U2,but U2 as in the early days.Not this tripe they continue to dish out.Coldplay did impress me at Live 8 but that was all down to Richard.He blew Chris away.He is everything you want from a front man.Bono,man is he beginning to look alot rugged around the edges.

IMO:

Parachutes and X&Y >>> All You Cant Leave Behind and How to Dismantle A.A.B.

Not a great fan of U2's last 2 albums, whilst Coldplay have got better and better. However.

The Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Anything Coldplay have done or are likely to.

Both of these U2 albums are classics and nothing I've heard Coldplay come up with is on a par with U2 circa 1987 - 1992.

Also from a live point of view, no-one touches U2 for making such large stadiums seem so intimate.

Therefore, U2 hands-down.

for me all of coldplay's songs are too similar, plus U2 are more my sort of music, i still don't really like them though.
