Beggar's Banquet is cool

Exile on Mainstreet is mind blowing

and Her satanic Majestiy Request is pretty awesome too.

Her Satanic Majesties isn't good for starting on the Stones, though 2,000 Light Years From Home is genius

Exile is good the first few listens

Beggars Banquet has got quite a lot of filler

I love Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Voodoo Lounge. I recommend Sticky Fingers though.

Start off with 40 Licks. It has forty great songs (well, more like 38, and some that aren't so wonderful), and it will help you pick an era that you like. Since you said that you enjoyed Beggar's Banquet, I would probably recommend Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, and Exile On Main Street after that.

Beggars Banquet owns Voodo Lounge.

Yes, 99% percent of the people on the world say that. But I love Voodoo Lounge.

i wouldnt recommend starting off with exile, as its probably their most diverse album with keef out of his mind on smack and jaggers vocals drenched in a wall of sound. great album though.

Best album: Aftermath / Out Of Our Heads / Let It Bleed / Sticky Fingers

Best live cd: Stripped

Best compilation album: The Singles Collection / Forty Licks

I'd add Exile On Main Street to Best Album, but anyway, at last I've found someone who appreciates Out Of Our Heads. IMO the best live disc they made is Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out. And you can't have a best compilation list without Hot Rocks!!

Ha! It is an underappreciated record. So is December's Children by the way. Very similar records.

As for Ya Ya's, great album. I really like it. But Stripped beats em all for me. The atmosphere is jsut so amazing. Very raw and pure like a group of people sitting together and having fun playing their music. I can listen to that album any day! Probably my favorite stones disc period.

I like it when that strange thing happens near the start of Love In Vain! Do they mess up, or what? I have only listened to it once and can't remember.

I like Voodoo Lounge a lot too, like A Bigger Bang, they both have songs that are nice to listen on the spot, friendly fillers as some people call them.

Are you serious? Explain.

I think it may be their best album.

And I love Out of our Heads as well.
