Favorite guitar solo ever

Page and Plant's version of Since Ive Been Lovin You off the 'No Quarter' album (shown on MTV) does it for me every time. The guys are much older than they were in their Led Zep heyday, but theres something about Page's playing on it. Rather than going for speed he goes for such a more melodic approach to the solo and it sounds fantastic. The chord change at 04.27 secs is really special. And Plant's scream at 06.40 secs brings you right back to the Led Zeppelin days..... rock1

I agree those song's and the man himself is totally underated rock4 rock on moore rock4

What alot of people don't know is that Mustaine wrote the solos to Ride the Lightning and Call of the Klutu

In my books, Mustaine is just a better guitarist than Hammett.


Yeah. But then again Friedman schools them both.

I don't think Dave did write those solos. He wrote the riffs and the same chords in "Ktulu" and used in the intro to "Hangar 18" ,
