Yamisonic
Never been a big fan of Kashmir.... I like the start but then it gets so damn boring.Robert Plant - One of the top 10, or even maybe 5, vocalists in my book.Jimmy Page - Fits in my top 3 of best guitarists ever (Slash, Mark Knopfler and him).John Bonham - Best drummer ever. Just see the DVD of The Songs Remains The Same.John Paul Jones - Could pull off nice basslines when he tried, and he was one of the best men involved in arrangement of songs. And oh yeah, Immigrant Song ROCKS. johnezz
They were a great band, though a tad bit overrated. They had some solid albums and awesome song. One of the best studio bands, but suffered a bit live (Pages sloppy live guitar work, Plants voice)For me they are the 3rd best band of the 70's (After Deep Purple and Pink Floyd )Led Zeppelin ROCK
moreblack
One of the best studio bands, but suffered a bit live (Pages sloppy live guitar work, Plants voice)<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Oh no no, that wasn't always the case. The 68 - 72 version of Zep was untouchable live, Any bootleg from that era is amazing... There's a lot of legendary shows that came from that time. And even later, with all the drug problems, Plant's throat surgery, Page's heroin habit, and his broken finger, they managed to have an "on" night once in a while.Best show of the 75 - 80 era is without a doubt Listen To This Eddie.
