Killing Time Posted October 1, 2005 Share Posted October 1, 2005 like im thinkin a getting a bass.. but like, the cheapest one is a 5 string and its all i can afford. like in a 5 string, i dont know the string names, but i wanna know something. for example, if the strings on a 4 string were this [they probably arent, im just guessing]ECGElowest string = lowest in pitch. would a 5 string be like this?BECGEor could someone tell me the string names on a 5 string compared to a 4 string? THEJOBLIN Posted October 2, 2005 Share Posted October 2, 2005 Ok guys, it's like this4 string.EADG5 string,BEADGBasically the five string just has one lower string that's tuned all the way down to B.It is a really deep sound and some bass amps won't sound good hitting that note.And I am a musician so I know.
