i have been playing for a year and a half now...

i have learnt many many riffs. some from tab some from sheet music. i find both as easy as each other

at the moment i am learning slither by VR. the solo is fucking hard <_<

im getting there

i am also doing i dont want to miss a thing by aerosmith which rocks. thats just chords so its piss easy though

some of the things i have learnt are enter sandman, whole lotta love, crazy train (how can you NOT learn that?!) and loads more

i love guitar and invested in a bass about 4 months ago... at the moment it is hanign on my wall looking pretty... i need to get a teacher or at least a book! any recommendations?

i would say a must learn is sweet child o' mine this was the song that inspired me to play and i felt such a great achievement after i mastered it

good luck to all who learn!

:D

I'm into Pinched Harmonics and memorizing Scales....Penatonic,etc........

Guitar is tougher on the fingers than a piano!!!

John Petrucchi And Zakk Wylde just blow me away......awesome!

Nice!

I'm pretty close now to mastering Miracle Man by Ozzy (played by Zakk), including the solo. It's by no means a terribly hard song but is a great example of Zakk playing basic things EXPLOSIVELY, and pinched harmonics just make everything 10 times cooler.

Its where the guitar "wails" or screeches.

BTW add Shine On You Crazy Diamond - Pink Floyd to that list.

Yep, same thing. When I play them, they make my face move.

Facials make you better at guitar.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Damn straight

Thats why Hendrix was so good, damn could be move those facial muscles.
