Kefer
i tried to dload winmx but it says i gotta pay?wasn't it free?
MrBrownstone531
It was free, but a couple weeks ago all those file sharing sites got a cease and desist order so some of them shut down. Apparently there's a patch somewhere to get WinMx to work, but fuck if I know how to use it.

droezle
just installed.. it rocks!!!downloading faster and without problems <{POST_SNAPBACK}>But be awared of the viruses. I have used Limewire for 1 year. Everything was going fine but at a certain moment i downloaded a program in a zip file. After the download i scanned the file with my virussscanner and there was a virus on that file. So i don't opened the file and deleted it immidiatily. If you have a virusscanner always scan your files. If not, goodluck then.

Steer clear of downloading .exe, .zip and .rar files, unless you know they're absolutely safe. It's better to use P2P for mp3 and video -- but remember, a virus can be a single line of code embedded in anything so even an innocent looking .mp3 file can contain a virus.
