B.B. King & Eric Clapton - Riding With The King

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I got that CD! Just can't find it :(

Anything by Cream really. They seem pretty overshadowed around here.

To start with, listen to Wheels of Fire or Disraeli Gears ;)

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I've been meaning to check them out. I've only heard Sunshine Of Your Love, White Room and Crossroads. So is it Clapton at his best?

I think that's him at his peak, although he did very well with his solo career. It's still real good rock, but I would think of it more as 'Adult Contemporary' or whatever it's called. Cream were the pioneers of what we now call Hard Rock - imo. Also, the first and best rock supergroup. Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker and Eric Clapton. Second best band after GN'R.

White Room, Sunshine of Your Love and Crossroads are all awesome songs. A good site to listen to FULL CD's is cdzinc.com. This would come in very useful. Click. It'll open WMP, so no worries.

Hope you like them.

STP are the shit! Shame they went their own ways.

Another recommendation; Avenged Sevenfold. Anything really. Awesome band. Heavily influenced by GN'R but with a side of metal-ness.

I personally think Scott was better in STP. More of his style.

Anything by Bob Dylan.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I 2nd that, you can't go wrong with Bob

Also, it's a must that all people who like Classic rock have:

Deep Purple - In Rock

and

Deep Purple - Machine Head

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

In a music shop I saw In Rock available for £5 But instead I bought Van Halen 1. Bad choice?

Ah nah, not really

I mean, everyone MUST own Van Halen 1 aswell, it is proberly the most influentual album of all time.

In Rock to me has much better songs, and was the first "Speed Metal" album, so it to is hugely influentual but not as much as Vah Halen, which started the 80's sound and everyone copied.

Next time you see In Rock, get it, you wont regret it
