Ok I was thinking you get new members nearly everyday posting threads about stuff like 'I really hope Axl comes back soon'.

So I was thinking of a way to help out newbie's. How about when they join they are offerred the chance to have a more experienced forum member in contact just to tell them the ins and outs of the forum. Basically what to do and what not to do.

It would work via PM and they would be told how to work everything etc. I think this would stop newbie's from getting needlesly slated and it would develop more friendships on the forum?

Just an idea. Any thoughts?

I don't think it's a great idea(jmo)...but it would be easier to just have a PM sent to a person when they sign up saying all this stuff...that way someone doesn't have to make a new message every time

Ok with the even with the FAQ section you can still go out and post 'CD - Will it ever come out?' and that just pisses people off, what way is it to welcome people to a forum when they get slated?

Is there a 'I'm New Here' pinned thread? Because if not there should be. I think everyone deserves the same treatement coming to the forum for the first time.

Admin was saying the link the the FAQ in a PM was a good idea, not the forum buddys...it was Bromle(who tweaked my) idea!
