agreed. But positively 4th street is a close 2nd.

Also agreed. It ain't in this poll, but one of my favourites is The Ballad Of Frankie Lee And Judas Priest, seems underappreciated to me.

Positively 4th Street over Tangled Up In Blue? Highway 61 Revisited over Desolation Row? A bit different.....

I think most people know me as the biggest Dylan fan on this board. So you would probably expect me to pick a more obscure song as my favorite since I know a lot more. But nope, my favorite Dylan song is "Like A Rolling Stone". Amazing, just amazing.

Here's a list of just a few that I love:

Desolation Row

Tangled Up In Blue

Just Like A Woman

Girl From the North Country

It's All Over Now, Baby Blue

Subterranean Homesick Blues

Mr. Tambourine Man

Ballad in Plain D

Spanish Harlem Incident

I Shall Be Free

She Belongs To Me

Hurricane

It Takes A Lot to Laugh, It Take A Train to Cry

The Times They Are A-Changin'

With God On Our Side

Spanish Boots of Leather

Lay Lady Lay

I Shall Be Released

Knockin' On Heaven's Door

Forever Young

Quinn The Eskimo

All Along The Watchtower

Positively 4th Street

Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues

It's Alright Ma

Not Dark Yet

Things Have Changed

heyyyyyy...wait just a minute here rubin...did you see him in concert :tongue2:

perhaps i'm a close second

to add to your list:

One More Cup of Coffee

Joey

It's Alright Ma (I'm only Bleeding) (Bodukan version is awesome)

New Morning

Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You

Simple Twist of Fate

Mr. Bojangles

Shelter From the Storm

Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You

Silvio (With Robert Hunter B) )

With God On Our Side

I agree that Like A Rolling Stone takes the cake but the live version from Basement Tapes with The Band totally kicks the studio version outta the water

Like a Rolling Stone is my favorite. I know its the most popular so it seems like I'm just going with what everybody says, but truthfully its his most popular song for a reason. Its the one song where Bob Dylan finally puts together every thought and idea he'd been searching for in his career before that...Its probably his most emotionally charged song up to that point. He finally gets it. Listen to any of his songs before that...before that his songs are good, but his albums are inconsistent in ideas and it seems like he might just be trying to please the folkie/hippie crowd. Its only after Like A Rolling Stone that he kind of lets go of everything and goes his own way.

Other than that, Hurricane is my other favorite Dylan song.

No. :(

Me and you are tied when it comes to Dylan love. I wish we had more competition.

Hey, i'm a HUGE fan of Mr. Bob.

Ok, well i'm sure not as much of a fan as you are but i still think of him as one of the greatest of all time, a living legend.

My favourite songs are not on that list.

Desolation Row

Tangled Up In Blue

Subterranean Homesick Blues

Blind Willie McTell

You rule too.

Another Side of Bob Dylan is sickly underrated. It is a must-have album that is often overlooked.

Forever Young is my favourite Dylan song, but he's written too many great songs to even list them all. It's all just perference for Dylan fans, all his songs are great in their own way with their own message and point, and it just comes down to which song gets to you more. Forever Young does it for me, because when Dylan sings the Foreeeeeeevvvvvver Yooooung, I just HAVE to sing along! It's like magic to my ears.
