Axl Rose Child
I have a "hp pavilion f1723" computer and a "philips dvd8421" dvd writer.I have a film on my computer which is DivXI am using "Nero Vision Express" to convert the files to VOB and then burn onto DVD+RW...This all goes fine, but when I put the disc into my dvd player it says "data dvd error". I have 2 DVD players and they both say the same message, and they are both pretty new...
swlabr
Your DVD players probably don't support those VOB files.

You can use DVD+R or DVD-R discs in it -- as Rick said, most DVD players don't support RW (re-writeable, so you can re-use them) discs. Are you actually burning them as movie DVDs and not Data DVDs? The region settings thing is a good idea to try too.
