Remember at RIR III when Axl said "we'll be back next year with a whole bunch of new songs?" That was 2002 people. Its crazy, because i'm an eternal optimist, but I still don't know how much stock I put in this.26 songs NEARLY done? Remember, this is Guns N Roses we're talking about here. I love that Axl's finally come out with a statement of some kind, but hold off on celebrating until we get a concrete release date!I gotta say though, it does seem like Axl must keep himself up to date with all the rumors! Then the left overs will either make another album later, or just be a bonus disc on the second album. Maybe like a collectors edition or something.
