SlashisGOD
With Axl stating that he talked to Izzy recently, do you think Axl would ask Izzy to re-join GNR? I for one would love to have Izzy back, as his songwriting talents are second to none. Would Izzy accept though?
jane
i wouldnt want izzy back cause it would be the same thing as buckethead fine for awhile then izzy would quit again and theyld be back to square one izzy is good and all just dont want a buckethead repeat
Son Of A Gun
Axl wants his band to get as big as they can. And that isn't Izzy's intention. Izzy doesn't like to deal with big responsibilities like stadium tours, filming videos, Izzy is a simple man. This I read in a Rolling Stone September 1992 interview with Axl. criticalsolution04
No way that Izzy would come back, he didnt like big stadium tours, remember? What Axl really needs to be doing is making the band 5 guys again, not 8 or 7.Oh and working on Chinese Democracy which is coming soon!!!!! SlashisGOD
I do agree that the band should only be 5 guys., 6 at most(Dizzy). Yes, I forgot about Izzy's unwillingness to play huge stadiums and film videos, etc, but I still would like to see him back, if only for nostalgia alone. aussie_axl
it would be a dream for me if izzy was back in the band, it won't happen tho, i think axl wants to take a different direction to the izzy driven bluesy rock n roll.
KBear
I don't need to see Izzy up on stage if that ain't his thing. Having him in the writing credits on a bunch of songs would be good enough for me. Kinda doubt that'll happen but you never know what Axl and Izzy have been doing the past few years. Guest JohnUlmer
Axl and Izzy have been talking for years. There was an interview with Izzy where he said he went to Axl's and Axl played him some tracks from Chinese Democracy. No one believed me. I posted it on Wikipedia and someone here deleted it and said it was false. But he's been talking to him for years; probably since around 2000. Grimo85
Izzy & co will only come back after Axl is finished with this version of the band. Theres no point in bringin them back when they walked out on what Axl wanted to do 10+ years ago.Grimo.
mayormccheesy
I think Axl is just trying to release his new gnr material and then maybe at some point he will reunite with the old crew. I think this is finally the year guys. Axl is back and i think he's ready to set the world on fire again.
metallic ko
Izzy will not rejoin GNR. He might do a one off GNR show at most.

ssiscool
IF the new guns n roses dont work out and Axl decides to do a reunion then Izzy might consider itSS. Edited January 18, 2006 by ssiscool
f**k_your_enemy
It's no secret... Axl and Izzy have spoke and met several times since around 1999.Izzy wouldn't join this current version of GN'R but I heard he said he would consider doing a reunion of the original band. Grimo85
If Izzy & co went back, which drummer would go back for a reunion? Coz im guessin that Steven isnt exactly on Axls christmas card list. Grimo.
Appetite For Waiting
The reason Izzy didn't join Velvet Revolver was because he didn't want to deal with another frontman after his experiences with Axl. There is no way on God's Earth that he would re-join the same frontman who put him off bands for life! It's nice that they're talking again, and perhaps he'll contribute something on GNR albums after CD, hell, he might even join Axl on stage for a couple of gigs, which would be v. cool, but he will never ever rejoin the fold! love&hates
Izzy coming back to the band ?Naa don't think so , me and luvaxl4ever where talking about that chance on msn ..but we can only wish he come back , but i think will remain a wish from the fans. i mean seems he had that chance with VR and didn't want it too , just helped writing a few songs .He doesn't want the big spot lights on him i would say ....Thats what i think he might do on this case ....maybe he helped writing some songs we never know that would be kickass
zrose27
since izzy doesnt like doing stadiums and stuff, i think izzy should just join gnr to write and record stuff. like when UYI he was still in the band but he wrote and recorded stuff but then quit and axl hired gilby to do the tour. i think that should just happen again. and dont get steven back get matt sorum, and kick out dizzy. i dont like the idea of the keyboard in a rock/metal band. hope that made since lol. Why? Motorhead have employed someone on keys before. Iron Maiden have employed someone on keys. So did Zeppelin. And the kings of heavy metal, Deep Purple, had an organist/keyboardist/pianist. You need the keys to allow you to extend your musical scope. And Reed is an awesome performer.
