motownjunkie
About half of the album contains crackin tunes. Dancing shoes and particularly the opening song "The View From the Afternoon" are classics. They are like a mix of the Libertines and Sonic Youth to me anyway. I just dont understand how they could sell so many copies with only one hit single. Anyways give this album a chance, its a grower.

Guest PULPY
I think it's actully probably the strong northern accent. I think nowadays people are sick of all the american music. So if something comes out i.e. kaiser chiefs then they'll like them because they think their voice is 'cool' because it's different. so the same goes with artic monkeys.PP
Maddergascar
Just another pseudo-arty NME band like the kaiser chiefs, franz fedinand and all that other garbage. I don't see why these are any popular. Aren't people getting tired of this crap yet?I am really ashamed of the british music scene at the moment. jack99
In short, don't believe the hype. It's a good album but with good energy but I don't think they do anything better than some other bands out there. Nothing special really.
