Spoon87
That would be amazing. in the thread which got deleted it said, that Axl and Slash are thinking about replacing the leads with Slashs work... Still bogus most likely.

Route66
OK this IS interesting...Ross Halfin mentioned something like this not long ago.Slash has been talking about CD a hell of a lot recently.Matt's website talks about working with Duff but NOT Slash... also he is embarking on some new projects.Axl spoke of his admiration for Slash at the Korn party. Also mentions talking to Izzy...Axl, Slash, Duff court case delayed... what are they doing? settlement of sorts maybe?Weiland is supposedly bringing out another solo record soon. Talks about doing a VR concept album.. dont think Slash will want to be part of that. It's all a bit strange..For me the wierd part is Slash giving lots of publicity to the CHI DEM release.I wouldnt like to guess at what might be happening at this stage. mcalldp
I can't see Axl, or any artist replacing all of the solos with new ones before release. An artist gets attached to the sounds that they've given the okay for in a project. Plus Slash would be playing someone elses licks except for the solo when they performed live? I don't think so, he's not going to be covering songs instead of being fully involved. Hey, anything is possible but I just don't see it.

It's all a bit strange..For me the wierd part is Slash giving lots of publicity to the CHI DEM release.I wouldnt like to guess at what might be happening at this stage. To be honest Slash mentioned CD 2 times in 3 months. The first time he offered the info. The second time he reponded to a question about it. Scott's been working on another solo album for awhile. He was writing while they were touring.Slash already wrote most of the guitar parts for the VR album and did some recording already. Matt and Duff have been working on other parts. The court case was delayed because Axl (his attorney) has still not explained why he was a no show back at a July hearing. That needs to be resolved before the case continues. So while it may seem things are pointing in one direction, there is usually a reasonable explanation for some things. Spoon87
Well, i've got one thing which would probably feed these rumors...According to the german mtv webpage, VR are planning to do some kind of a dance-orientated album, according to Matt. They even want to get Pharrell Williams as a producer...I guess Slash is not too happy with that

dreaggan
I guess Axl doesn't care of Slash. It seems he made some real good music without his former guitar player. But I gues labels and record companies want Slash to come back to GNR. Cause they think what many people think : "GNR is Axl and Slash". So if they want to sell shitloads od CDs, they need Slash to be back. So I think they ar making some pressure on Axl to make him accepting Slash's return. Not like he would be playing dance music either, nevermind Slash. Not on their own album. Lets be real, all those guys are about rock n roll. Seriously, I'd absolutely HATE for them to do that. And I couldn't blame Slash for not agreeing with it either.Fucking hell.. if that happens... and to quote Slash... "thats the sound of a band breaking up right there"Of course that quote came from GNR behind the music regarding GNR but it would be funny if this thing came full circle like this. I cant see them ever agreeing to this.
