Jerry and Layne together were the creative forces and Layne was the voice of the fucking band! Jerry was a huge creative force behind AiC - wrote most of the music, alot of the lyrics, and even sang on quite a few tracks with Layne. The rhythm section of Kinney and Inez was also amazing and their contributions can't be dismissed.None of those guys asked Layne to kill himself with drugs. I'm not trying to be insensitive, because Laynes story was incredibly tragic and sad, but ultimately it was his decision to go down that path. That said, I know it won't be the same without Laynes brilliant vocals, and I can understand that some people will be upset that this new line-up is calling themselves 'Alice In Chains'.
